What games are you looking at buying over XMAS/New Year

Post by Woo Elephant Yeah »

This might give us a better idea of what games to support in the new year.

At the moment I am happy just playing COD:UO and I have recnetly bought Ghost Recon.

In the new year I'll be buying Half-Life 2 to see what all the fuss is about

I'll probably be buying an 'official' Call of Duty and United Offensive, as I've enjoyed the 'unofficial' copies I have. :D And then I'll be saving my pocket money to buy Ghost Recon 2 when it's released (hopefully) in March.

UT2004 is also a possibility - a lot of people seem to be enjoying it.

Well, Im going abroad for new years, then im finally moving in to a place of my own in the new year. With that and the inevitable financial burden that is buying crimbo prezzies, im unlikely to have much in the way of spare cash. However, In the event of being given vouchers (which my gran still does quite regularly. Bless her) I shall be investing in COD, as that seems pretty popular round here.

If I end up with mountains of cash (unlikely, but possible) i may be getting WoW too, whenever it comes out.

Knights of the Old Republic 2 (I think it's out soon).

The first one was great (in my opinion). Played as a good Jedi the first time round, but then had immense being evil and nasty

I might give Fable a try as well, but I've heard a few negative things about it.

Fable is supposedly a very long indepth game, but my mate has just completed it, and he only bought it a week ago.

It's one of those games where what you do changes the way your character develops, but the actual fighting/gameplay is a bit, run, roll, slash, slash, heal yourself, run, slash, slash etc.....

He bought it from the preowned bargain bin already for only ?18 though, and said it's worth the money. :)

the first kotor was brill, but then, it was made by bioware, so thats fairly inevitable. is kotor 2 bioware too?

EDIT: ive just discovered that hk-47 is making a return in kotor2, therefore: it shall be brill.

I didn't know they were making a Serious Sam 2!

As long as they don't fuck it up, this could be really good, especially multiplayer
