Thought you might all want to wank furiously over This.

Superhero Themed MMONG by Cryptic (made CoH)

Looks fairly CoH-Like, but more cel shaded, may well be awesome.

So they are re-making CoH with cell-shading? Errr, is that it? The customers that want to play a spandex game are, most likely, already playing it. I'm really not sure this a very good idea.

I suspect it's something like that, pretty much CoH2

I'd kinda hope for/expect more variation and stuff, probably a lot more story too.

I was thinking it'd be a massively online whippet and pigeon fancying game.

Apparently its this in all but name, really. Same sort of stuff as CoH, but with added extras like being able to design your heroes nemesis, and customising the look of your powers.

Although I am quite excited by it, i am a bit bemused as to why they didn't just put all these new features into a massive new expansion for the existing CoH, including the graphics update, somewhat like what happened in EVE recently. Surely doing it the way they are puts them in direct competition with themselves. Weird.

Looks good to me. It's not due out until sometime in 2009 I think, and there is the slight chance that COH will be feeling its age a little by then. However, Dog Pants will still not have reached level 35.

Cryptic looked like they had the Marvel license at first, when I first looked at the cryptic website (for the secret world possible concept art) they had announced marvel universe online. Seems to me this became Champions
