Ooh, this seems like a very good idea :D

I'm Goatpod, I occasionaly post on B3ta when work isn't getting in the way. Currently playing Half Life 2 - and not enjoying it as much as the first one.

Favourite games:
Ghost Recon*
Call of Duty*
Stronghold and SH Crusader
and most of the AD&D games (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale series, Torment etc.)

*just don't ask me to shoot straight....

Welcome etc... (BTW I'm not spamming any games or particular forums just saying hello, wait and see, the EVE/Americas Army/ET crew will try to buy your soul  )

I think I'm enjoying HL2 about as much as I enjoyed playing HL the first time, I also like Icewind Dale 2, in fact I love it, but I never got past a massive dragon near the end, shame really, might have to give it another go.

Welcome to the sticky stuff goatpod.

I've sorted your xfire signature out for you, but feel free to remove/change it if you want.

We're having a COD game tomorrow night if you are interested.
Just click on the 5cheduler at the top of the forums for more info.
Do you just have standard Call Of Duty, or do you have the United Offensive Add-on pack as well?

My problem with HL2 is probably more to do with me than the game; I've just finished Call of Duty and United Offensive and so I'm feeling a tad lonely in HL2

I guess I should have waited a while before starting it.

The trick with dragons is to surround them, but keep your spell casters away from the wing buffet and just pummel them with everything you've got (including lots of monster summonings).

Ta for that W.E.Y. :D

I've got the UO pack installed. I'll have to see what time it starts - I'm out shooting pointy sticks 'til around 10pm.

Sounds sensible, must try again to destroy the pesky beast.

hehe, Grav Gun is now acquired - just been through Ravenholme and the mine which was fun, now flying around the coast road in the dunebuggythingy which isn't as much fun as it should be; damn thing keeps tipping over and antlions are a pain in the arse.

tip for the antlions: Killing em is hard when there's loads of the buggers. Just whip out the grav gun and zap em with the primary fire. It knocks them on to thier backs and makes them wiggle around like spackers for a while. Much quicker than trying to shoot em. This normally gives you enough time to leg it in the buggy.

I thought the same thing - there's me, stood there in among all these Antlions lying on their backs and waggling their legs in the air and I thought 'bloody spackers'
