I'm going to download the 10 day trial

Post by Nickface »

Anything I should be aware of? I think I'm going to chug into this blindly, so I don't think I'm really going to make any commitments to it. I played through the trial of EQ2 and wasn't all that impressed with it, so I'm going to imagine this will be more of the same.

It's not so much as my willpower as much as it is my firm grip I have on my bank account and refuse to pay a monthly fee. :shakefist:

I tried it and thought it was a superb game but not really for me. There's too much reliance on other people and when those people say LOL continuously it can piss you off.

I was just gonna mention it all depends on your resolve with your wallet (Or size of your wallet? ).. there's one useful function of this game "/dance". Try it. Try it lots. ohh and "/train".. oh yeah and the gameplay and stuff but watching a full-grown 8 foot Tauren dance or say "woo woo" is so much better.

So it's not a game you can solo through?

Not really. You can get through 10-20 hours on your own but tougher quests need more people so you really need join a group

Well, that was short lived. I got to the screen where it demanded my credit card #, despite the fact I was doing the 10 day free trial. It said it was for "verification purposes only." I don't care if it is or if it isn't. I'm not giving out that information, and thus blizzard can kiss my ass. :shakefist:

In fairness it's very easy to cancel, you just need to be confident that you're not going to want to play it beyond the 10 days. You could get hooked

I was hooked. For a month. But then it was the first MMO I'd ever played. It was fun. For a while. But then got really monotonous and reptetive. Still a good looking game though. Then someone showed me an alternative. Now I'm hooked again.

Yes, do. Eve is the best MMONG around and 5punkorp makes it even better.

I know I already plugged this one, but I just have to say it...I have very limited experience of MMOs but how could anything be better than Eve? Apart from Microsoft's Alliance which was a similar idea till it flopped.

Oh, please do. It's always fun helping out a new player in eve.

Appart from when 3 comes along at once.

Then it's just hard work. :shakefist:

You need some one who pays for eve online to send you a free trial, i'll send you one if you want. Do you use the email in your profile still?
