Glass Trap anyone?

Post by Lateralus »

After a fairly long absence I reinstalled CS:S last night and had much fun playing in the Glass Trap maps with Nightcrawler. Basic idea is everyone runs around on a glass floor, and if someone shoots the glass out from under you then you fall down into, well, a trap. If you fall to the bottom you die, but there are usually a couple of small ledges to aim for so you can sit pretty and shoot the glass out from others instead. Tis great fun.

No I only need to learn to shoot again..... :ignore:

Sounds like fun, there was a similar thing on COD:UO, but it was poorly thought out, but this sounds better.

If I see you online, I'll have to give this a go 8)

Ah well, there goes my next question! Played one called glassfun just now and its ace cos its made predominately of glass cubes with a brick texture so you can't see thru them and you've got to shoot thru to get to the other team, then shoot them too. Lots of fun for all the family.

While we're on the topic, I tried to host a server to firstly show Gunslinger this map, and secondly to test out one that he'd made, but it wasn't really working. How does one go about configuring a server? I've fowarded ports 27015-27025 on my router, but what other things do I need to do? Never done this before so its all a bit new to me :?
