Thanks to prof for doing all the work at poundhost, tis greatly appreciated.

Right now, tukkake is running:

Code: Select all

Swat4 10 Slots 217.112.95.67:10480
CSS 20 Slots 217.112.95.67:27015
TF2 24 Slots 217.112.95.67:27035
COD4 24 Slots 217.112.95.67:28960
COD:UO 20 Slots 217.112.95.67:28961
COD4 32 Slots 217.112.95.67:28962
BF2-POE2 32 Slots 217.112.95.67:16567
America's Army 16 Slots 217.112.95.67:1716
HL2:DM/Gmod/mods 16 Slots 217.112.95.67:27025
I'm looking at getting UT3 working, maybe looking at a public cod4 server. maybe some gmod.

:)

Aye, why not risk a 30 man public COD server? Might be fun to add some randoms into the mix, and I assume that we'd have the power to kick any fucker we don't like.

Aye, a 32-man public CoD4 with like a shuffled rotation of random gamemode/map combinations (gamemode as in ones which are worth it, koth, tdm, sab, perhaps ffa). I would not suggest it to be haxored, those servers grab all the pesky hackers.

GMod is perhaps not a very good idea unless it's some fun gamemode, I mean there are over 9000 empty build servers to be used.

UT3 = need.

Punk buster runs on haxxord servers, and a lot of aim bots and wallhackers are registered with punkbster. It's not fool proof though. I played on a haxxed server that had a guy who picked any weapon he felt like, then just held the trigger and headshotted people, a rather good aim bot in fact, and we all watched his death cam and called him a cupcake. I still managed to kill him a few times.

Which is why people are occasionally seeing themselves PB banned.

Also, there's an easy way to do this.

We make the public server cracked. we don't tell people it's cracked - 5punkers have no issues, generally only get legit players

I'm mildly confuzled. A cracked server allows people to play if they haven't yet bought the game but yet magically have it anyway *ahem*, but also allows haxxors, so by not publicising it as cracked that would probably remove the haxxors but allow the floorsweepers? How does PB fit into all this?

Also, why haven't people bought this yet, especially the 5-Star Generals!

Okay. A cracked server still catches cheats using punkbuster.

However, as people using a cracked server haven't paid for the game, they're much more likely to cheat (as they lose nothing if they do get their stolen key banned by punkbuster)

Not advertising a server as cracked means we're not likely to get so many cheats, as they won't know our server is cracked, so they'll assume it's not.

In other words, we're relying on people being simple.

Which'll work as it's the internet.

Added a merka's army server (to keep sheriff occupied) and a HL2:DM/Stuff server. should allow for gmod/random hl2 mods when desired :)

No real luck with UT3 yet, it seems to be a right fuck to serve properly. :x

Wish you'd stop doing that, it's getting quite tedious to wipe it down after every game :P

Hopefully it will attract lots of people under say...L40. Just a random level I picked there. Not that I'm starting to feel like a noob on our server or anything.

Yeah, it's a funny game for that. I don't think it's quite so much the better guns in the higher levels so much as greater familiarity with the game as a whole that makes the difference. I'd recommend picking up other guns and giving them a go when you can. If you're lucky you may even find the rare faaabulous-as-a-window pink M60 lying around. The few public servers I've been on seem to have a reasonable mix of levels, although no-one stays below about L10 for long.
