Tukkake games.

Post by Dr. kitteny berk »

Right then, this is gonna be fun :)

Tukkake has lots of space for servers.

Obviously, it won't be able to run loads at a time, but my thinking is if we have many, many servers setup and ready to go, we can just switch to what is in favour at the time.

so. suggest some gaems (obviously, suggest stuff that's actually likely to get played)

Remember, coop games are good, as are non-FPS games. pretty much anything goes.

so far I have:
BF1942
BF2/POE2
CoD/UO
CoD2
CoD4
CS:S
Quake 3
Quake 4
Swat4
TF2
UT3

FAO Beards:

What about some kind of server version of Neverwinter Nights/NWN2? I know you can play through the games with a group. It might be a shit idea, but it's certainly co-op worthy with up to 4 (or 5 5punkers) I think.

The NWN 2 expansion came out at the end of Sept I think. I know not many of us are up for beardage, but I've never played with the beards and I'd like to.

Shit idea or good idea?

JOTR? That was a helluva lot of fun at the time. I'm sure we could drum up some more interest in that.

This idea has my interest, but I seem to remember trying something similar before and being beset on all sides by technical issues.

I specifically remember sitting there for a good ten mins repeatedly prodding the connect button...

If we can, then GMOD 9.04, because you can host HL2 Maps, fully populated with NPCs to make what is effectively HL2 Co-Op, which may be fun for Friday night drunken gaming etc.

ooo yes gmod
but not 9, use v10 - its much better. Even you cheapskates can afford to pay the £5 or whatever it is.

Only issue is that it can sometimes use up a hell of a lot of resources on the server

Ooh, I'd like to try that. Shame HL2 is so easy though.

Will do.

That's an option if enough people are interested (as it'll be a fair bit of work), problem we're likely to have is that NWN is really well locked down piracy wise.

I think they fixed that in one of their patches at some point.

I've got legit copies of both, what about some kind of Kraygen option if I run off a couple of ISOs?

kraygen? :?

The problem with NWN at least was that even in Lan mode, it needed to phone home. and that the server was a buggy heap of shit.

NWN2 might be worth a look though.

Well NWN2 itself was a buggy piece of shit, not sure how it would hold up in multiplayer.

Just a random thought.

Would anyone be interested in the possibilities of playing Star Wars Battlefont 1 or 2 and Jedi Knight academy online?

I can see people on here taking great pleasure in dicking about in walkers and snow speeders or double jumping around a map with lightsabres.

What does you all think?
