X-Box games for the Beardy Girlfriend.
Okeydoke, question time:
My misses has (largely due to my evil influences) started playing computer games. Ive got some vouchery goodness to spend in teh games shops, and want to get something for the X Box that we can both play, together, preferably in some kind of co-op.
She likes the Super-Monkey Ball type thing (games that my housemate irritatingly calls "party games"), but i really cant bring myself to spend money on such abominations. Which means what I really want is something from the other realm of games she enjoys. RPG's.
Yes folks, my girlfriend is a beardy RPG player. Even more than I am. Wierd.
Anway, we thoughroly enjoyed playing through Diablo 2 and NWN together on the PC, so I was wondering if anyone knew of something similar for the X-Box? Something good, preferably.

You need some party games
In all seriousness though, as I have mentioned before, the XBox is absolutely appauling at the pleasing the masses, especially female gamers.
If you're after games for the missus, I'd suggest the PS2 (if you have one that is), as I am always on the look out for games my missus would like, and they only ever seem to come out on the PS2.
Don;t get me wrong, I'm not dissing the XBox Console, it's just their choice of games is extremely limited compared to any other console ever made, and this makes it a bit shit

Jade Empire's not coop, but it is good. Can't think of many games that are, to be honest. I seem to get on fine playing SP games with other people, as long as there's plenty to do/talk about - the GTA games, Fable, etc. - you can both "play" them, even though there's only one person holding the controller. It helps that we all have little areas we specialise in, mini games, shooting, etc.

I do like the odd console RPG though, here is a list of the ones I've got. Pretty much all SP, I'm afraid.
xBox: Shenmue II, Phantasy Star Online, Kingdom under Fire: Crusaders (the new one's out today-ish), Bard's Tale, Morrowind (III), Fable, Sudeki, Full Spectrum Warrior, Jade Empire, KotOR (1 & 2)
PS2: Unlimited SaGa, Wild Arms III, Arc Twilight of the Spirits, FFX, FFX2, Ys Ark of Napishtim, Star Ocean, Suikoden IV, Shadow Hearts, Shadow Hearts Covenant, .hack #1, Baldur's Gate, YuGiOh, Ring of Red, Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter, Jade Cocoon 2, Grandia 2, JoeyD and the Sword or Nrrrgh, Dynasty Tactics II, Disgaea, Kessen (II & III), Ephemeral Fantasia
GC: Pokemon Colleseum, Baten Kaitos, Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, Skies of Arcadia
GBA: Harvest Moon (boy), Pokemon (Red, Crystal, Leaf Green & Sapphire), Shining Soul II
Just noticed FFXI is confirmed as a release title on the XBox360. That's XI, kids - not XII. The PS2 game that's four years old.

Maybe, but to be honest, I got it for me. I wanted Halo 2In all seriousness though, as I have mentioned before, the XBox is absolutely appauling at the pleasing the masses, especially female gamers.
Plus, she's really *not* the traditional "female gamer". Apart from not really enjoying FPS's such as halo (due to the fact that she cant shoot for toffee), she tends to prefer games where you can kick the asses of huge amounts of nasty things. If you can follow that by putting on a shiney hat for your troubles, all the better.
Anyway, Jinxx has suggested Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance, so I shall look into that.
err theres a rpg star wars game on the xbox, its called something like, star wars:knights of the old republic, i played the second and thaught it was ok, cant remember if it was co-op though
oh yea and what WEY was saying bout the ps2, you could get her a FF game, but i dont think there are any co-op ones, (apart from crystal chronicles on the gamecube)

The FF games give me the almost irrisistable urge to repeatedly stab myself in the face. So I think I might not get them.
As for Baldurs Gate; it appears that although this is exactly the thing i want, its as rare as rocking horse shit in the shops. God knows why. I'll be ordering it off teh interweb when i have some spare monies.
As far as my high street spendings are concerned, im actually quite tempted with the sonic idea

A friend who is a girl loves her little Chao gardens you get in the Sonic Adventures. Not when I go in and boot them around a bit, though.
Edit: I have the PS2 version of Baldur's Gate - think there's a sequel too. But I guess that isn't much use to you with an xBox.
