I was trying to hold back on the negativity but ...
I played it and it's not very good IMO. 5 years ago maybe but it doesn't stand up against recent games.

I did too.
Loaded the demo with much excitement.
Played for ten mins.
Went to the corner of the room and cried myself to sleep.

It's impossible.
Good Film = Average Game
Average Film = Bad Game
Bad Film = Awful game
Remember, Starship Troopers was a Bad Film.

ah, but Starship Troopers was ironically bad. It was intentionally bad in a funny/silly way. And as we all know, intentionally bad in a funny way = good.
This game is not intentionally bad.
It is not funny bad.
Its just Bad.

Starship Troopers is not a bad film, just as Robocop is not a bad film, they are works of dystopian genius!!
Not that i'm dissing bad films.. I love plenty of bad films, Deep Blue Sea springs to mind for some reason, man I love that film. but it's shit.
Starship Troopers 2, Robocop 2 however... *shudder*
