It was an interesting title. Kind of like an updated Doom for the purists - wave after wave of monsters heading directly towards you, and a co-op mode. Since Doom3 didn't do anything for that crowd, it might be what they have been waiting for.
I enjoyed the makers twisted sense of humour in the original, and from what I've seen of this new title, that still looks to be present. I don't know anything about the releases in-between, though. It became a bit of a tedious slog at times, though.

^ kinda this. It's not really an expansion because you don't need Serious Sam: The First Encounter to play it, but it's not Serious Sam 2 either.
It's sorta inbetween.

So to sum up this is a new modern day game of Serious Sam
Great graphics, with the same original mad gameplay?
I like the sound of Co-Op mode, that's something I really miss with a lot of online games.

Its a newer looking game, it has HDR and everything. But the principals are basically the same, shoot everything that moves. I thought the second encounter was great though so this should be good. Cant play though cos of my pcs b0rkness

CASHY HAFF PLAYED! i can report that the demo is completely mind boggling. lovely graphics and not much blinking. this time sam has dual uzi's and propper grenades, that use up left click (voodoo nades!?!?). i got up to some crazy spaceship and gave up as i couldnt figure up how to go up and down, but the enemies have the same basic principles (crazy flying things, easy to kill henchmen that do fuck all, big big things to kaboom) and is fucking fun. a must have in my opinion

That demo did nothing for me, apart from waste 15 minutes.

It's just run
and gun,
but co-op might be fun.
See what I did there, did ya, did ya?

But is it as much fun,
as banging your mum,
with a big ass gun,
stuck right up her bum?
