5punkorp Is Recruiting!

Post by Hehulk »

I've put a thread up on the eve forums as phase one for trying to get people into a corp. A friendly bum every so often would be much appriciated as we want it to stay on the front page.

Tehcnically shouldn't it only be restricted to already reigstered 5punkers?

I would think registered 5punkers would be accepted unconditionally, whereas recruits from outside 5punk would undergo a trial period. If they proved to be an idiot then they'd not be employed and I expect if they didn't fit our style of play (ie, they didn't like regular and violent bummery) then they'd probably leave of their own accord.

If interaction with non-5punkers is anything like COD then the non-fluffy and the zOMFG l33t will get abused until they leave anyway. Although that might just be because of Berk...

That's basicially it. Part of me does concure that we should keep it just us, but if we want to really push this, then we're going to have to expand.

EDIT: Also, I've set-up a public recruitment channel called 5punkorp, so if I'm not online could one of you idle in there to deal with any new potential recruits

ah, right. I've already accepted one person into the corp, with posability of another joining. I shall stop however until you give me the ok. Sorry about that. I've made certain that they have no access to the critical areas though like take rights from the ore and mineral hanger and no access at all to the BPOs.

They do know that we're planing some sort of thing, but I've been kinda vague on the details until I'm sure that they won't just run off with the idea.

I've also told the one who's joined (bloke called Karlos Serkskaeg) that I've set up basic hanger access and you'll review it when you get a chance, as I though that seemed right.

Oh blimy, I feel all silly now.

There was two new members last night; the aforementioned Karlos, and Mezer (who I see has joined the forum too). Both got involved in the corp mining op and the associated bummings, and seemed to fit into the general 5punkiness well.

In other news, Wiggy bagged a careless ganker in a spectacular victory (and his first PvP no less), and research has started in earnest on BPs.

5punkorp is on the rise!

Har har har... might as well tell it then...

Sat doing bugger all while covering Hehulk, Dog Pants and some of the newbies ehile they were mining, and this guy in an interceptor warps in. We'd already seen him earlier and I think he was trying to have a go at me in a "I R 1337" kinda way.

All of a sudden he puts on his mwd and comes in really close, activates his webber and scrambler and proceeds to start blasting the crap out of me. For some reason I'd decided to put a webber and scrambler in the med slots so I though "why not? I might die anyway", I activated those and then hammered F1 to F7 to get weapons going (4x Heavy Beam Laser I, 2x Heavy Pulse Laser I, Malkuth Heavy Missile Launcher with Kinetic Missiles, can't remember which ones). I have a Med Armor Repairer so I activated that too when the shield was gone.

I eventually got him down into hull strength and he decided he was going to leg it and try and get out of the 7,500m scrambling range, I don't think he got more then 5km before his ship exploded in a fiery ball. I let the pod go, cause I figured I didn't want the Sec hit.

Got some nice loot too, a 1mn Microwarpdrive II, two B-f10 Cap rechargers (worth over 5mil each) and 2 Ion Blaster II's (he had 3 of these, but one was destroyed).

THE END.

I'm now going to close all reuitment too non-5punk forum members. We've had astonishing success, pulling in 7 new players in a matter of days. I'd like to officially welcome the following people to 5punkorp:

Karlos Barkskaeg
Merak Mizar
Garann
Talann
Exile Elgaroth
Friznit
Bjoern Bitter

There's fresh recruits not only double our effective mining numbers, but make 5punkorp a global orginisation as Karlos and (I think it's) Garann are from Denmark (god I hope that's right), Talann is American and Bjoern is Japanese.

let's all celebrate in the tradational 5punky way!

I was secretly playing last night, but haven't finished the tutorial yet (and forgotten most of it). I will try and find my way over to the corp place probably tonight.

Be aware I don't have a clue what I'm doing, and don't understand a word of 90% of the threads in this forum, I'm sure that will change - I've read the FAQs, and will try and work stuff out for myself as well, as that way I remember it better.
