Black hawk down I've got and played for about half an hour, bit boring.
Boiling point, nice idea but buggier than a ferrari after a long motorway journey
Animatrix, brilliant
DOD, also brilliant
Asian Zombie films, probably a lot worse than you think
Eeerm, dunno bout rest,
What make of shoes?

I was liking Boiling Point until it became obvious that there were just too many bugs, even the menu had an annoying delay on my version
The original DoD is probably my favourite zombie film. what are these asian films? I only know of one and it's really bad

OF: Lots of crawling around rather large maps, it was a little slow paced for me.
I'm working my way through a load of "Asian Extreme" films, some of which have zombies in - I'm mostly in agreement with the recommendations on
http://mandiapple.com/snowblood/index2.htm
The "Zombie" collection (Wild Zero and Junk) should be arriving soon, but I also found Stacy to be top-notch zombie action.

Nice list. Oldboy is the best one I've seen there and I wonder if the shocking ending will survive in the hollywood remake.

The page is somewhat critical of Hollywood remakes, except Dark Water. I've seen the original of that, so I'm not that interested in a remake - but it's good that people that get turned off by the foreign language get to see some of the great stories.
For general spine-tinglyness I enjoyed A Tale of Two Sisters immensely, for blood and guts Battle Royale and Ichi the Killer are superb.

I haven't seen the original, but I recently watched the remake of Dark Water in the cinema, and it was utterly boring, long winded, with an extremely shit ending.

Agreed. All of 'Beat' Takeshi Kitano's flms are superb. I strongly recommend Hana-Bi. He's got a new one out too that was shown at the Venice Film festival called 'Takeshis' (apparently in Japanese it sounds like "Takeshi's Funeral") - sounds good.

He was ace in Zatoichi, unfortunate Battle Royale 2 was so bad. One of my favourite actors.

I've got Black Hawk Down plus the Team Sabre Expansion and used to play them a lot. I'd be interested in playing again if theres a few 5punkers around too.
