OF: Lots of crawling around rather large maps, it was a little slow paced for me.cashy wrote: operation flashpoint GOTYE

I'm working my way through a load of "Asian Extreme" films, some of which have zombies in - I'm mostly in agreement with the recommendations on http://mandiapple.com/snowblood/index2.htm
The "Zombie" collection (Wild Zero and Junk) should be arriving soon, but I also found Stacy to be top-notch zombie action.

Nice list. Oldboy is the best one I've seen there and I wonder if the shocking ending will survive in the hollywood remake.FatherJack wrote:I'm working my way through a load of "Asian Extreme" films, some of which have zombies in - I'm mostly in agreement with the recommendations on http://mandiapple.com/snowblood/index2.htm

The page is somewhat critical of Hollywood remakes, except Dark Water. I've seen the original of that, so I'm not that interested in a remake - but it's good that people that get turned off by the foreign language get to see some of the great stories.
For general spine-tinglyness I enjoyed A Tale of Two Sisters immensely, for blood and guts Battle Royale and Ichi the Killer are superb.

Agreed. All of 'Beat' Takeshi Kitano's flms are superb. I strongly recommend Hana-Bi. He's got a new one out too that was shown at the Venice Film festival called 'Takeshis' (apparently in Japanese it sounds like "Takeshi's Funeral") - sounds good.spoodie wrote:
