Well Steam have announced that DOD2 will be released this month... definetely...maybe... :shock:

If it's for troo who is up for it?

T'was one of the reasons I wanted HL2 narf. :P

that's what valve are planning, and it's DoD:source rather than 2 for pedants like me. i'll definately be giving it a go, i hope i got silver package.

apparently i'll need the half life silver pack to get it... is there anyway i can upgrade my package or buy this seperately?

they're allowing half life bronze owners to buy dod seperately nearer the time, the method remains to be seen though.

however if you got it using an ati voucher, you should be able to upgrade now.

either way, you'll need a credit card

if you bought HL2 from a retailer will you still get DoD2?

No, i believe any retail versions of HL2 were effectively bronze packages

what about if i bought 5 cds from korea with nothing but plastic wallets?

did i hear right some place that if you owned the original halflife too then you wouldnt have to pay? or was that blue shift or somthing?

you do get blueshift free if you have the original HL (i just found this out 10 minutes ago oddly enough)

yea, we will, but if i dont get it, i am willing to spend a few bucks to get DoD2, i loved the first one, and now with the source engine, its gonna rock.

Bah. Then I'm *still* yet to get any content from the silver package that I hadn't already bought. Hope this DoD thing is actually good.

Lol... I just noticed it on my Steam now... even though it wasn't a brilliant game I am installing it... it's FREE and I am a Scotsman after all... :P
