It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Healthcare, Social Welfare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 48%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Pizza Delivery.

Crime is moderate, and the police horse struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Bobbinsdom's national animal is the badger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the grot.'

Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 5 million are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt government is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Commerce and Defence are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 17%, but much higher for the wealthy. A small but healthy private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Book Publishing and Beef-Based Agriculture.

Crime is moderate. Kebabana's national animal is the caterpillar and its currency is the gherkin.

The Holy Republic of Phulatio is a tiny, devout nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Religion & Spirituality, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 24%. A substantial private sector is led by the Retail industry, followed by Gambling and Pizza Delivery.

Crime is moderate. Phulatio's national animal is the blue tit and its currency is the dollar.

The new nation of Sidney Grove has decided to join 5punktopialand. This is not intended as a political snub to other nations and/or regions, and it will continue its peace-keeping work within the 5punk regions. It was the princess which swung it tho.

The Most Serene Republic of Sidney Grove is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 5 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, socially-minded morass -- concentrates mainly on Social Welfare, although Healthcare and Education are secondary priorities. Update:

5punktopialand now at 4 mighty nations and forming a global fast food network.

I vote we should have a regional flag, which all countries in our region can use, with varied colours if the wish. Looking at the current flag for The Most Serene Republic of Sidney Grove, I realised that it should be a Goatse based flag. Its just so obvious!
