What windows based software could you not be without?

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

Plus Potatoshop, some kind of firewall (I don't care which), Winamp (for listening to FTLFM) and WinRAR. A game or two is good too.

Might check out that crap cleaner though, 'cos I've got loads of crap.

Top of the list has to be Call of Duty
followed by Visual Studio.Net (because I wouldn't be able to afford to play Call of Duty without it)
Oh! and IE of course (just to be different) (PS. please leave me out of the obligatory debat that is bound to follow)

Whatever floats your boat. My favourite browser is Safari with a custom build of WebKit.

Jinxx, AICMFP :D

I think everyone has IE, is it possible to get rid of it?

DU Meter is a nice little network traffic monitor that I like to use.

Naw, I like Windows really. But if I have to do any kind of web development or graphic design work on it, I just get driven bananas.

nope, it's an integral part of windows

tehere's an entry for it in add/remove windows componants, but unticking it does nothing

EDIT: removing it only gets rid of shortcuts

WMP (might not count, not sure)
Flash
Nero burning ROM & Wave editor
Speedfan
CCleaner
DriverCleaner

and if you can't find them, I suggest you try this.

Actually untrue. It is indeed possible to separate IE from Windows, but doing so makes Windows Update unusable, along with some other functions.

Also untrue, it's *totally* removable, and it's possible to get firefox to do the job of windows update and such (there's a few ways, JFGI).

but it's a fucking stupid idea, so don't.

I remember watching on TechTV that the Windows "File Manager" is still built into windows and youc an enable it. So if you ever got a pining for the good old days of 3.1x, then you could always go back and do that too.

there are alot of bad things with IE and all of that, but to be honest as long as you only use the browser for things firefox wont do, theres not much chance of it getting bugged or going tits up. i just let it sleep in a corner
