Firefox mass resource jumping

Firefox mass resource jumping

My firefox keeps jumping up so its using 1of my cores and really chugging along :@ got any ideas? as I have to keep shutting and re-opening.

well, back up your bookmarks (Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks -> File -> Export), then nuke the profile folder(s).

Navigate to:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default
(where xxxxxxxx is somethingrandom, there should only be one)

and delete the entire folder.

im pretty sure ive had the same problem since i updated firefox, shall try deject's answer to it me thinks
