I'll have to post my horse glitch pics when I get home, although they are not quite as impressive as Lat's one.

Also, what's wrong with the xbox version? I havent read any reviews yet.

Well, the problem is that you can't patch it. Can't you? Also, you can't make use of the free mods that get made, of which there will be thousands.

Well you could patch games on the original xbox so I'm assuming you can on the new one, provided you have the model with the HD and xbox live of course. But the lack of mods would be a shame.

I'm more curious about how well it's been optimised for the 360 hardware.

Going purely on what I've read in various forums, it sounds like it looks as pretty as it would on a mid/high end PC, but not ultra-pretty.

do not fear! there more than likely will be one (especialy if its as buggy as the pc version).

aparently it looks like hot piss though, suffers from a lack of AA and AF but on a 32inch HD tv it flies like greased poop. although im yet to have a go myself, it sounds most errotic

Are you guys molesting the poor game in unusual ways? Ive been playing it loads, the only bug ive met so far is one that occasionaly makes the game crash when I hit the exit button. But as I was trying to close the game, its not really been a problem. Am I just being really lucky, or are there other people who are finding it remarkably bug-free?

Its all just little niggly things really, nothing out of the ordinary for the first release of such a large game. The horse thing was exceptional for me, but I've noticed a few things with the physics engine. For example, sometimes I go to pick something up from a table, and everything else on it falls onto the floor, through the table. Not had any major problems, and only had one crash over the weekend I think.

The dog (I think it was a half-gan hound) was my only noticable problem, and that's part of an add-on so not really the game's fault.

Obviously I shall be actively attempting to get my horse and other creatures in as humourous positions as possible after seeing Lat's nose-balancing act. Also I want to rename it "Crack Horse".

Not only was it balancing on its head, but the head was actually under the slope of the hill. Not the best pic I'm afraid.

And I'd be careful with this game for now cashy, you'll probably spot loads! I virtually never spot bugs, so if I'm seeing them it must be quite bad!

<blog>

I've just become a Silencer for the Dark Brotherhood, and will work my way to the top, but I'm then thinking about taking on the main mission. How far have people got with it? I've only gone into one Oblivion gate so far - the one at Kvatch. If I don't do the main quest next then it'll be the fighter's guild for me. Just picked up a full set of Ebony Armour which should do me quite well! What sort of direction are your characters heading in at the mo?

After unlocking the secret of the 4 books for the main quest I have decided to try and work my way up through the guilds before proceeding. I only need 1 more recommendation from the Mages Guild to gain entrance to the Arcane University which I am quite exited about, I have done 2 missions for the fighters guild which isn't appealing to me as much as the Mages guild and is a lesser priority for me than the Thief's Guild which I have only just joined.

However, I am too easily distracted and continually find myself doing odd jobs or quests for strangers, or hopping through any old Oblivion gate I come across. I must focus my mind on specific tasks, perhaps a potion of 'Concentration +12' would do the trick, if only I could find the right ingredients, I've got grindings of coffee bean and I'm sure I saw some extract of Red-Bull lying around... ooh look a pretty lady needs my help!...

*prances off*

Oh yeah, I've done that bit with the 4 books as well. The arcane university is good though. Especially since it am all belong to <strike>us</strike> me. :)

Arch-Mage Majik Ninja Fu Manchu at your service 8)

The mage guild missions are much better in this game than Morrowind, where you started off having to collect mushrooms and crap like that for other people. I've also stuck to doing missions for one guild at a time, with the odd extra one for the random NPCs around thrown in for variety.

I did the Kvatch obvlivion gate, and found it a bit dull so am avoiding doing another one for a bit. There seems to be one right next to Skingrad cottage, which I entered last night and had a little swim in the lava. Fatally.

I have thieves, fighters, mages and dark brotherhood stuff to do though - plenty to keep me busy.

My Battle Mage dude has just finished the Kvatch Oblivion gate bit and then had a quick trip to the Castle-Up-On-The-Mountain where he declined joining the Blades for now. Going to go vigilante for a while and run around murdering wolf puppies and eating mushrooms. Mostly prancing about in kit looted off dead allies including that katana I nicked off the dead monk, which I enchanted with the rock from the Oblivion tower - it makes it glow prettily.

Everytime I start making my way to Kvatch I see something else to do on the way. Last time I came across a large dungeon entrance and a glowing stone monolith which gave me spiked, bound, glowing red armour and sword, so I went off to try it in the dungeon. Only the dungeon seemed to be geared towards more magical types so I quite easily hacked and slashed my way through until I got to the end but didn't stand a chance against this magical dude whose worthless (cash value) crystal I'd just stolen. So I decided to reload before I took the crystal and run away with another crystal I'd stolen earlier in the dingeon which was worth 1000 gold. woo!

Also I'm finding alchemy quite a fun distraction.

That was bound daedric armour you found there, nice. The real daedric armour that doesn't disappear is pretty much the best heavy armour in the game. Also, people often have valuable items that you can't pickpocket but can take when looting their corpse. Most dungeons/mines/caves have some kind of major prize at the end, but they're not always in the most obvious place. Once a dungeon is clear I have a quick look around it with a torch to see if I missed any chests on the way through and more often than not find something worthwhile.
