Server updated to 1.05, all addons still work, so that's good.
Map currently running, but don't get too into it as we're waiting on friz to add the apache.

Ideally respawning too, thinking no guns (or no air to ground, at least). maybe a small single engine thing that can be used as quick transport too?
I'll have a looksee at addon sync stuff, shouldn't be an issue if it works.

Just played with
this.
Pilot + 4 passengers, reasonably easy to fly, bit difficult to land (as it's very light) not particularly nippy, but flies as I expected it to.
Also, the propeller eats people.

OP updated for ease of reference. I've not added any more addons (other than the AH64). Zeus AI is on the server but untested, so remains to be seen what effect it'll have.

I'd say not a WoW raiding day, but I appear to have lost interest in WoW raiding for the moment, and it was far too many days of the week already. Friday or Saturday usually works best for me.

For the keyboard, take it apart and wash it with soapy water, they're mostly pretty easy to fix.
Also get a photo to remember where all the keys go.
As far as Arma goes, I suspect weekend evenings are probably best, given the amount of booze that goes into a good game.

Right, I've done some playing with addon stuff.
If you already have @5punk, you don't need to do anything, nothing has been changed on the server, I'm just splitting addons up into more manageable chunks.
This makes things a little less simple, but much easier for troubleshooting and customising what you want to some degree.
For more than one addon folder, you need to seperate with a ; so command like thinger should end up like -mod=@5punk;@5punkoptL
@5punk (78MB) - Essential to join the server and play.
B52 for carpet bombing silliness
Kiowa for recon and airborne laser targetting goodness
F16 Falcon for overpowered death from above
UKF Landrovers, UKF Misc & UKF Shared
CheyTac Intervention M200 Because sometimes you need to put a bullet into a man 1500m away, with a silenced weapon.
@5punkoptL (1MB) - Minimum optional stuff, you don't need any of this stuff, but it makes things prettier and the AI more I, and less retard.
JTD Fire & Smoke for bigger, prettier firey smokey stuff.
Community Based Addons framework for the above and other CBA stuff that might follow.
Zeus AI for more convincing, less retarded AI. Note that this won't effect your own party AI unless you install it on your client.
GLT Grass mod Makes grass shorter, if you like to play with it enabled for extra pretty.

v.122 East Route finally completed late night tonight with Berk and I clearing up the last few infantry dudes. For our next forray into the land of Chernarus, we're looking at making a few changes/additions to spice things up a bit:
- Mando Missiles Addon (adds things like HUD reticules in the AH64, Javelin fire modes, LOAL/LOBL for Hellfires etc)
- Eurocopter Tiger helicopter in place of the OH58 (looks pretty, but need to try it out first)
- A customised 'route' along the coastline, taking in some of the more interesting towns.
Meanwhile, if you spot any addons on
Armaholic that you like the look of we can test them and if any good put them in. In future we could also try a different map (such as Panthera), although they're quite hefty downloads.
Note that as usual until we get Server Addon Synch working (currently in beta), I like to limit the number of addons we use to make it easier for people joining. In the mean time Berk and I will continue to provide 2 addon packs: the required one and the optional shinies.

or just set server 12 hours out of phase with realtime?
Edit: just checked something, our mission is set to June 11, which is significant, because that's about as long as days get.
And yes, bohemia have scripted seasons in, it's dark earlier in december.

ofc they've sripted in seasons. I suppose if you sit int he right place and time you could see an eclipse or Haley's commet aswell
I'm up for shorter nights, although the balance would need to be right so you don't feel like you're in some B-horror movie

As it is there's a fast time option, but it makes 1 minute in game = 1 sec realtime, which would be a bit fast. I'd kinda like to have 6 or 12 hour (realtime) days, rather than 24, just so you get more variation than NVGs.
Edit for stuff:
co40_Domin122_A.5punk.Chernarus\fsms\FastTime.fsm seems to control the fast time, _timerate = 0.00666; is default for fast, can't brain the right numbers for the job, will think about it later.
Another one:
0.000444 seems to be about 20s RT = 1min game

I noticed Mando's Missiles addon has a reload option for stuff if an ammo truck is nearby. Will check it out later and see, if not we can either add the ammo to trucks (preferred option cos it actually makes trucks slightly useful and can build a FARP etc) or just throw in some vehicle ammo boxes dropped from the resupply chopper.
