I may have accidently clicked "Leave League" instead of "View League", silly no confirmation questions.

I may have seen Heather Mills' shares drop and sold all mine, forgetting about dividends. Made a fair bit on them, but am I shafted for the windfall tomorrow now? Beckham may be a good purchase for the weekend papers though, what with his 100th cap being imminent.

Bollocks. I think I fucked it up. Re-bought them, so lets treat this as an experiment.
I need a weekend.

Divvies are in, how did everyone do this week?
Got a decent sum from Holly Willoughby (again) and Leona Lewis.

£6.7K in dividens, mostly from Paul O'Grady
Still, I'm sure I can make a better percentage with my £115K now instead of just letting the vast majority of my money sit in in Paul

Bah, only 3.6k for me. I've got standing amounts in Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears now, which I'm sure will pay off one day. Lost a bit day-trading on Heather Mills too this week.

Pah. £1k for me. It would appear that selling and rebuying shares restarts the clock for dividends. I didn't appreciate that the dividends were based on column inches and the day-trading was just on the popularity of shares. Messed up my chance to make some proper money for once.

I think I managed around 3 grand this week from dividends. Not as good as some but after my nightmare-ish last two weeks, I'll take it. I avoided the day-trading this week and bought into McCartney/Mills and Lewis Hamilton. Mills was the stand-out but they all did quite well. I've sold my M/M shares but I reckon, now the new F1 season has started, I'll hang on to Hamilton.

I made about £130k in dividends. I found this useful:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/celebdaq/interacti ... ndex.shtml - particularly the bit about the dividends percentage yield near the end, which confirmed what I suspected about how they work.

I may make my first million this week, although I was a little late buying the divvy shares. Sadly that will see me back down to 10k monies on Monday.

6k this week from Amy Winehouse, Catherine Tate (new Dr Who lady) and Paul O'Greedy.

This! Teach us your ways! It's taken me this long to creep up to 60,000, and I think that's mostly share-price increases too. I assume you're making the money with dividends FJ? I got 2.5k this week.

2.5M
It's mostly divvies.
Monday night, find cheap stocks that have a good potential dividend, then hold them until Friday - even if their price starts to drop, don't sell them. This week it was Beth Ditto - share price £1.12 - dividend 2.24 - that's exactly 200% of win - even though Amy Winehouse was in the news more, and had higher dividends of 4.4, her shares cost £13.31, so that's a mere 33% of win.
Of course dividends aren't certain, so it's best to pick a few, and the share prices can change during the week. Another advantage of shares near to £1 is that they can't really fall very far.
Friday you get you divvies, sell all your existing shares and check out the movers & losers page and buy a few from the top five. Keep an eye on it and sell/rebuy if your shares start to drop. Continue until Monday.

I find Sportdaq somewhat easier to predict, I made 30k£ by foreseeing that Federer would lose to a third-class player.
