Right. Options:
1. Shoot it. Pros: Likely to kill monster, lift keeps going. Cons: Could put holes in cabin, causing us to be dead or returned to Earth with no elevator.
2. Whack it. Pros: We keep getting away from Earth. Cons: A nasty invisible robot isn't likely to be too bothered about being hit by a rifle butt. Could eat us.
3. Open the door and hoof it out. Pros: Quick and easy way of getting rid. Cons: Cabin returns to Earth, we might not be able to get back.
I think I'll start with option 2, and see what happens.
How do I initiative again? I'm assuming it's a D100 roll.
Roll(1d100)+0:
34,+0

oh god it's been so long I've forgotten how this works. Initiative is (Intuition + Reflex) x 2 + d% correct?
(Intuition + Reflex) x 2 = 50
Roll(1d100)+0:
85,+0
Total:85
Initiative score: 50 + 85 = 135

Hello!
Sorry for being crap, just imagine I've followed you guys, silently agreeing with everything you're doing.
At the minute Tiny has a horrified/nauseous/"where's my happy place" look on her face staring at the eel bellied floating woman.
Tiny wrote:b-b-b-b-b-b- bugger me lady! what the fuck is happening in your belly!!
Initiative roll:
D10 + 6= 3 +7 = 10

I'm going to delay. I'm dead scrappy but these guys don't look like they're in control of things so I want to wait and see what to hit.

With an unpleasant wet noise her skin parts in a line going up her belly, and a...for want of a better word, "baby" emerges. Its curled into a fetal position and covered in blood. It otherwise looks like a normal baby apart from two very important things:
1) It is hovering in the air apparently unaided
2) where it should have arms there are two long tentacles, about a meter in length. The ends flatten out slightly, smooth on one side and covered in needle like short spines. The spines kind of look like thin shark teeth.
Its the babies go.
Its just out of reach of all of you with its flappy tentacle arms (you are a couple of meters away) but it is slowly drifting vaugely towards you. Barry finds himself suddenly flying backwards towards the wall, as though the gravity thats affecting you has suddenly changed direction. Its not enough of a fall to do yourself any damage, and if you can make a freefall test with a +10 to your skill you can land on your feet.
Needless to say, this is all a bit horrifying, so everyone make a stress test. Thats a Willpower x 3 to resist or you take 1d10+1 stress.

Stress (35):

Bollocks. Also, I've just noticed that the electronics roll I made was for Daisy, my muse, rather than my own skill. Sorry

Will power x3 = 30
roll = 27
hurrah!
I'm going to come out of delay now shit's happened.
Tiny pulls her flex cutter which unrolls into position with a SNAP!
She slashes wildly at the nearest tentacle.
Flex cutter skill:55
roll 57 - sod it

The freefall roll was just for deject; Barry has fallen sideways, the rest of you are unaffected. So thats OK!
The stress roll puts you over though, so take 9 points of stress. Ouch. Im pretty sure that gives you a trauma, but I'll have to go look up what that does to you specifically. It'll definately give you a -10 to all your rolls though.
Dog Pants wrote:Bollocks. Also, I've just noticed that the electronics roll I made was for Daisy, my muse, rather than my own skill. Sorry

Not an issue, I'll just take it as you asking your Muse for advice. Which you can totally do at any point by the way.

yeah, that goes wide. Only just, but its still a miss.
Deject, you are up!

Here you go Pants, here are the effects of your taking a fright:
-10 to all your rolls till you recover from the trauma
-1 to all initiatives too
You need to take a Will x 3 test (taking into account the -10) or you are stunned by the shock of it all and will need to take a complex action to recover (remember, you can take either two standard actions or one complex action per combat round).
You also get one shiny new minor derangement (a temporary brain wobble that will affect you till the trauma is recovered). In your case this takes the form of Nausea. You feel fairly unsurprisingly sickened by the whole thing.

Freefall (10) + 10: 1, 0: 10 Success!
Phew.
Willpower (15) x3: 4, 7: 47 Failure!
Not phew.
Roll(1d10)+1:
3,+1
Total:4
That's right at my TT of 4 so I assume that means I'm on a -10 as well.
I have no hitting things skill, all I can do really is shoot at it and even that is not a great chance now with the -10. I think I'm best off using my whole action to aim to get the +30.

Oh christ. Right, that needs a Will x 3 test to see if you are stunned by the trauma too. Your derangement is... Echolalia, the involuntary repeating of words or phrases spoken by others
If you pass the Will x 3 you can take the aim, otherwise you will need to use this round shaking it off.
Round 2, Munchkin go!

roll 7 = 12
