How does one find out which encryption skill is needed for an invention job?

I can't for the life of me find it...

Depends upon the data interface. Show info on it and it'll talk about a certain race.

This might also be taken as "They only give this one mission, none other, and it's only worth doing if you want to increase standings." Worth running to see, especially if it's easy! (Give me 100 veld, congrats, we like you more! Give me 100 veld, congrats, we like you more!) One Iteron of veld=+100 standings!

well i have yet to meet a cosmos agent that repeats. not saying its out there just saying i have never seen it and all the cosmos posts i have read say you can't as well. now if they added cosmos agents i'd say in last 3 months for invention then might be different. either way don't fail any of the missions fool :P

AQUIRE - 4 Guristas User Manual - Mission, upon completion, will be re-assigned to you indefinately. Ok to refuse. (Corp/Agent ONLY standing raise)
Makes it sound like you can do it multiple times, but all the ones I see like this have odd things to turn in like this one.

the one i was referring to you have to HACK for the stuff...so it might tie into what Dolly was saying about the COSMOS campers though

I went into that hacking cosmos place with Wiggy the other day. Got a bunch of random stuff, most of which purportedly assists with invention. It's still on the market and abjectly failing to make us rich. Wasn't any agent stuff though, just a bunch of cans in space. Plenty of rats to shoot or tank as well.

From what i read...those hacking cans are where the mission stuff is supposed to drop.
I'm particularly interested in the spy station operated by the Guristas pirates over in Airmia. Why spend a lot of time and resources to do something that others are already doing? If you are proficient hacker and have all the right equipment, you could do much worse than snoop around there and collect some choice titbits to sell to information peddlers such as myself.
- Item: 2 units Guristas Light Weapon Console"
Contested Caldari Lai Dai Refinery (Hacking)

In the Guristas Spy Station you will find:
Spawn Containers requiring Hacking skill and a Codebreaker I to open
Multiple cruisers and frigates.
well...only other thing i found (a post from 2005) said they couldn't find it after 2 hours and then a GM said it wasn't a bug...everything respawns daily...so, maybe right after DT would be the best time?

either way...even if it is repeatable...you're better off doing regular corp mishs to get the standings since it seems to take forever to do just once....

whatchagot?

/me is the curious orange

[edit] how much do datacores go for (hydromagnetic and amarr ship specifically but I would be willing to train others if they we good money on the market) as I am pondering whether or not to train to try and whore several research agents at once and flog the datacores if 5punkorp doesn't need them

Right now we need mechanical enginnering datacores (that I'm covering) and laser physics (that jimmys covering). What we're short on is someone with the skill trained (or someone willing to spend 250 mil on it), a supply of decryptors, and t1 strip miners ;)

Of course, more people producing those datacores means more attempts a day, so if others way to pair up and kick out those cores, go for it.
