They need more lines for that one at the start.

Although I was checking the notice board when a bandit wandered round the corner and started shooting at me and it screamed and said a couple of funny lines.

Does anyone else feel utterly detached from the plot near the start, the in hud thing that occurs that is unexpected and realistic compared to everything else leaves me a bit cold. I guess it might be because I'm just leaving firestone.

What plot?

I liked the HUD bit- it was instructional but fluid. It was ruined entirely by my weapon popping in to existence out of thin air.

I like them as well. Yeah they can get repetitive, but when they go to keypads and just start banging away I chuckle.

Still, Scooter is the best. This is where the cars live, git you one!

"lady parts"

One thing that occurred to me after playing yesterday: Where are the people? Usually in RPGs you'd have NPCs wandering around the towns/encampments/etc. but there are only quest givers and enemies. Maybe I missed something in the "plot" or this changes later.

They're all in New Haven. They don't do much, though - just stand around repeating one line of text.

I had no clue what was going on for the first few levels, things just happened for no reason at all.

check the bottom of this topic post for how to make the inventory font smaller so you can see more than 4 lines of weapon bonuses

In case you didn't know, the retard xbox interface can only show 4 powers on an item - but items often have 5 or 6 powers, especially class mods.
Yeah, I kinda figured that out at the point where a supposedly worse class mod costed ten times the one I bought.

Would any of you technically minded people be able to explain why I cannot invite people to my game? or, more accurately, why they just time out when attempting to connect? No internet play takes away half my reason for buying it in the first place

Fucking hell, the list of ports just gets longer and longer. This really shouldn't be so hard - even the shit network codes like Blood Bowl only need one port. How can they reasonably expect people to have to jump through such hoops when other games get it right first time?

I thought you realized by now that Borderlands is one of the most broken, least polished games around today :D

It's a terrible conversion of a very good game. It evens out to make it worth playing, but quickly pissing me off.

Oh. Looks like it wasn't clever balancing- all my skills, artefacts and proficiencies are gone. Backup your saves before co-op-ing.
Hurrah for save editors.

Nobody seems to be sure what causes it yet, but it seems to affect all platforms. Seems quite rare though.

I still seem to have all my stuff, but still can't send invites and stuff. annoying.

Were you hosting a private game at that time Mr. J? If so, that's probably why I timed out all the time. Slinger knows how to fix the thing.

I think it's a known issue that affects some but not all depending on who's hosting.

There's quite a few niggles like this but they haven't stopped me enjoying it immensely. I found myself on the bus to work today singing the song from the opening cutscene.

Which, Anery tells me, is by a band called Cage the Elephant.

Is a good track. Shazam told me what it was from a trailer a while back, I think.

The only problems I've found are the sound on cutscenes lagging when I first started playing and getting my vehicle stuck on scenery. I'm sure they're both the fault of one or all of the console platforms, those guys suck.
