To get a rope to release something - Make something desctructable like a wooden table on one end of a 'pulley' system. Smash table, pulley system dissapears, trebuchet activates.

Just make the rope you want to release the last one you applied, then just undo it. 'z' I think.

we are not talking about the release that sets the thing off, but the release that ties the projectile to the arm.

TrebuShits need a hook thing that the sling flies off off, and normally it has to be quite precice as well...

Uh.. As for trbuchets - I remember I've seen that before on Youtube.
I guess the ctrl - z thing could work? Attaching the projectile to a wooden plank, and the plank to the arm, with a bit of dynomite set to 0 Secs could also be a pretty effective trigger.

Is there any way to make (or have) a large flat surface? I'm currently welding blast doors together but I was hoping there was an easier way

I'll have a look around the map forums- there was a big open map that had big blocks you could spawn.

Doesn't the original map (construction?) have big blocks you can use? It did in the last version of gmod I used.

Set Q to last weapon.
Select physgun.
Spawn blast door.
Select Duplicator.
Duplicate.
Spawn
Fix in place
Duplicate.
Spawn.
Fix in place.

Etc etc.

Then go mad with the welder.
I find things go quick with this method.
