I think it's time to pull from the EU, and just try and keep the trade links.

The way I see it, we'll all be a massive EU state in 50 odd years, and you will all have stopped caring because you're used to it. End of story.

The way I see it is by 2060 we should have a United States of Europe. By 2100, we'll have the United States of Asia and the United States of Africa, along with the Not-quite-united state of Australia. By 2150 we'll have United States of Earth and by 2200 we'll all be ruled by some company called the Schlong Long Association.
