I bought MDK 1&2 from GoG already, for just $6 during their anniversary sale. I'll have to play them at some point...

Also, Garry's Mod is 50% off at the moment, just in case someone doesn't already have it. Even I couldn't pass it up for $5.

The first one was the first game I ever completed (I like to start projects and never finish them, which I why I have a half painted half assembled Space Marine dreadnought say on my bookcase) It was a funny and enjoyable game but I don't want to spoil the memories by playing it again.

Batman is now available. But I've ordered from Amazon for £5 cheaper as it'd take ages to download and plus I can lend the disk out or sell it on, I hope.

I've been meaning to do a review for a while.
But for now...
The 5punk games are long lasting persistant world capture the island type things (we have a base, have to capture cities from the russians) we have a few things to make it less painful (teleport to special APC bases, parachutes, auto respawning helicopters that can airlift most things) and you get to have AI troops if you want them.
Mostly it removes a lot of the fucking about getting around, but remains pretty milsimmy once you're there.
Combat is very simmy, but not excessively so, mostly, worth wearing a ghillie suit though.
The command interface is fucked up and backwards, but usable enough to do the job. mostly.

Why didn't you put this in the reviews then? Instead of the steam sales thread. Talk about making a mess.

Alien vs Predator on steam for 3quid
ker-ching!
also picked up Civ3 and borderlands expansion zombie island of dr Ned for a total of 15euros for teh 3. I'll probably never play them (more than I did when they first came out in the case of AvP and civ3) but it's nice to know theyre there and cost so little
btw I got burgled over xmas and the scroats stole my cod4, crysis warhead and FC2 discs so I'm all of a <3 for steam atm

Hope they didn't nick anything too valuable. Can't see the point in nicking PC games anyway. Presumably they think you can just play them like console games.
The original AvP was brilliant.

Is that all they robbed? If so hurrah for inept pikey cuntrags who can't even rip a house properly.
Jaques - I had a call in work the other day from a customer who told me he'd been burgled. The only thing they did however was smash the readout on his electricity meter. Unsurprisingly enough I talked to the polis and there was no crime doodad regarding it. So I sent him to court.

sadly no, just filled in the insurance form and omgwtf but you collect some vaulable crap by the time you're 40

. fortunately they left the bikes well alone...
I thought about mentioning to the cops that you might trace the scumbags when they tried to reregister the games but narf, that's far too complex sounding for modern law enforcement plus bollocks to it the only thing I really want back is the watch the missus bought me and leastwise teh cops really dont'seem to see finding my very own scumbags as a mission priority so I'll concentrate on the future rather than the past

Allow me to introduce you to the Belgian police: probably even more useless than our army.
(that is, assuming you still live here)
