This is a reasonably good idea, if a little complicated. Cheers for t'offer Berk. And cheers for your offers too Mr Pants. If you can even just take the hardware then that would be ace. 17" CRT plus tower, keyboard and mouse would not a comfortable train journey make! :likesitall:

Although, one day, I'd like to take it all with me and set it up like those smug buggers with their laptops, and play Beef or something on the wireless connection that these trains now have. Maybe if I get a LCD screen. Hehehe

if you can get one of the virgin express trains, they have plug sockets and wireless connections! the connections are supposed to work through the tunnels too

Yeah, Virgin is the normal route I take to get home so that would be the one!

WTS: Cheap beer, good company for the trip (unles I do what I did last time and stay up way to early so I sleep on the way home)
I'd be quite happy to give you a lift again if you like?

W00t! If theres trouble with space then I'll leave the 17" crt here if someone has a spare one down there...

Wahoo, I'm coming. Not literally, but you know what I mean.

On top of my PC, I can bring along a spare 19" LCD, and as many kettle leads and ready made CAT5 leads as we need.

Also as a sidenote, make sure you all bring along your PSP's & Dog Shit's, as I haven't had chance to use MP yet, and it could be fun, and fill time if something stops working etc...

I hope your house is pretty big dude, there's a lot of people coming now.

Oh yeah, I will only be coming down for one night again due to baby Abigail, so I doubt a lift down for anyone but none back wouldn't be much use.

Also, I suggest we should all donate to Prof for hosting the event.
And grabbing a couple of boxes of crisps and cans and having an honesty box might help make a bit of money, and be useful too.

Yay well done for escaping for a day!

i hope the house is big enough too :shakefist: hehe
It may be a little cramped for sleeping, but should be managable.

I will go to the wholesale place and get a few crates of drinks & boxs of snacks, honesty box should be cool.

I have bought a few patch leads and network kit, but no harm in bringing any that you have. Gotta sort out some table & chair hire. Its delivery/collection that makes it difficult. Any donations towards it would be great.
What i am short of is power bars. Please can everybody bring as many power extension lead things as you can.

Just a thought about this: is anyone bringing a PSP and if so, what games?

I probably will be bringing Burnout Legends, Pursuit horse, Wipeout Pure and Everybody's Golf. Anyone else?
