I've just finished upgrading the mob spawner/xp farm from the original form, to something with 12 spawners.

Not only is the pyramid getting there, it's also breaking many enchanted diamond picks in the process!

The server looks okay, apart from the RAM is at maximum. I've restarted and it's dropped considerably. Also enabled a weekly restart. Servers still aren't perfect at managing RAM.

Ohh, will do! The Rexxling loves long mine-cart rides and a wander about in Minecraft.

Talking of which, we've recently been playing Traincraft, which whilst can break slightly at times, is quite fun!

Joosamid, I'm rather bored of digging, I assume it's being covered with sandstone? If so, blocks or stairs?

Sandstone stairs, at least as a base. This will be easier to climb about on and means no mobs will spawn on the Joosamid itself. I'm considering options for decorative doodads, but don't worry about that. Place the stairs as a layer on top of the currently existing pyramid, dont replace the currently existing blocks with stairs. Because of Reasons.

Of course, if you were really bored of digging/building you could always go an hunt us a Wither. I would love to top the pyramid off with a beacon. :)

How about no? :)

Stuck stairs on the top 10 levels or so of the pyramid. There's many, many stairs left to add.

Dear spoodie. Please may I have a spider spawner or 3 plox? (it's for good, not evil, I promise) :)

I thought the placeable spawner would only produce pigs and you have to setblock edit an existing placed block to have any other sort. You can also use a dispenser and lots of spawn eggs.

You might be right actually, last time I used one I think I molested it with MCedit after.

Oh well, I'll have to do something different and evil :)

Confirmed, mob spawners placed by hand are pig ones. However with op you can run the following to place any type of spawner in a particular location:

Code: Select all

eg.

/setblock <x> <y> <z> mob_spawner 0 replace {EntityId:Spider}
If any of the long term 5punkers would like op privileges just ask. So long as you don't spoil the game for others or destroy the map it's fine with me. Or if you'd like to nominate 1 regular player to have the 'honour'. There's some powerful commands available now, even more in the next version.

Do either Joose or Fabyak want to be an op? I'm not going to horse it on anyone.

I don't mind being that. Out of curiosity does it come with the ability to make people combust? Just asking...
