Well, I only played on a Spectrum once, at a friend's house. I don't recall what game it was, but it involved planes and wasn't all that great. That was also the first time time I ever saw a computer reading stuff from tape, and I remember being vaguely bemused by the funny noises.

Technically no it's not, but I suspect it's close enough to satisfy FJ.

You got the name right, just not the spelling (Atic Atac). At least I'm 99% sure that's what it is.

google images says your right. the reason i didnt think it was attttik atttttttac was because i thought that game had "atic AttacK" in big letters on the score panel. instead of a large chicken, obviously

Creatures, 2 - probably.
Quite late in the C64's life and praised for it's graphics at the time, although I found it a bit muddy-looking, especially on my crappy TV of the time.

Bit newer this time -
The game wasn't exclusively French, it's just the best screenshot I could find.
Rough translation:
"The two guards have been taken out."
"Them too...?"

You're mixing up two game names there, but the system is correct.
Close enough, they had pretty similar names.
It was Vagrant
Story (not
Vandal Hearts)
Your go.
