yep, cs_ maps should not be included IMO.TezzRexx wrote:
Hostage maps
as far as de_ maps we have:
aztec
cbble
chateeu
dust
dust2
inferno
nuke
piranesi
port
prodigy
tides
train
Out of these, I like train and nuke a lot although I'd guess a lot of you guys aren't so familiar with those. I wouldn't mind having dust2 and aztec actually.

FatherJack wrote:Bomb Maps FTW, the hossies are spackers and get stuck on things, introducing unneccesary complication. Also I feel that unless there are two very distinct hostage locations, it's too easy for the T's to camp them - a different dynamic from the bomb maps when both sides have to weigh the risk of both going to the "wrong" bombsite against splitting up. A finely-balanced game of Assault, for example usually only ends because one side gets bored and enters/exits the building.
With two maps, we'll need to have (best of) 40 rounds, 10 per map, 10 per team. There are some biases towards teams on most maps, but it depends more on player style.

Also, there's the whole rescuing one hostage and killing the rest thing on hostage maps.
which is dirty (to be expected from 5punkers)

I'd say
aztec - quite like
cbble - complicated layout
chateau - okay, easy to get lost in one bit, bomb sites too far apart
dust - okay, but used
dust2 - a good choice
inferno - great, also used
nuke - nice choice also
piranesi - most confusing map ever - the one with "helpful" signposts to observatory, tower, etc
port - a good choice, but quite similar in layout to dust2
prodigy - not a bad choice - the one where the CTs spawn in tunnels next to one bomb site, used to be an escape map type
tides - not so good, one where the CTs spawn in a little market square
train - mostly unfamiliar to me, never really liked it

We're never going to choose a map as we all have different preferences.
I motion that we just use the full de_ listings and have random mappage on.
Therefore, we can't prepare for specific maps, and alot of people don't have experience outside of the basic couple of maps which means that mostly everyone will have the same disadvantage of not playing it as much.
It'll also be FAIR
What sayeth?

Seriously, that'll just start arguments. we'll choose some maps given some time.

How about just one poll, and the top 2 maps get used? Makes life a bit simpler. Set it up then someone!
Also, can anyone find a site showing the top-down views of all the maps so I can refresh my memory as to which is which? I'm shite with map-names, other than ones like assault, office and italy that I play a lot.
