You need to get yourself in between it and the hole it's nearest too. You might need an axe or something in hand also, can't remember.
Oh killing after you've trapped. Hm. Think they were automatically killed last time I played. Try chucking on a fire?

Well, that's a pain in the arse. Doesn't seem much point in trapping them then. Thanks anyway.Thompy wrote:You need to get yourself in between it and the hole it's nearest too.

There's no "cook" option when over the fire. And they're not dead in my inventory.
Re: Don't Starve
That must be a new thing. Last time I trapped a rabbit it turned into a morsel when I took it out of the trap. No killing necessary. There must be some purpose for them. Trapping them was convenient because you could just go back to it every now and then rather than chasing them about, but it's pretty easy to catch them.
Re: Don't Starve
When you catch them if you drop them they're basically asleep. Then you can get your axe/pickaxe/spade onto them
Re: Don't Starve
I've now managed to kill one with a pickaxe. I'm sure I attacked the previous sleeping one with a shovel, but could be wrong. Still, beta.fabyak wrote:When you catch them if you drop them they're basically asleep. Then you can get your axe/pickaxe/spade onto them

Just discovered:
SPACEBAR Performs an action on any nearby item or mob, as in you can attack a Mob without a Tool. Will only attack hostile mobs.
CTRL + SPACEBAR Attacks anything nearby, including non-hostiles.
That should make hunting easier, I was only using the mouse.
Re: Don't Starve
Well this has changed quite a bit since I last played. No more silly 'chucking random shit into a machine' research mechanism, and lots more to make and do. Also, last time I died it's because the monsters my insane mind created killed me.
