Part of the reason I'm redrawing the weapons. Although even in SLA there seems to be a bit of a vagueness between a machine pistol and an SMG. The FEN 603 has a full auto setting but is classed as a pistol. The FEN 204 has a faster firing full auto, but is an SMG despite looking like the bastard child of a 603 and a video camera. The GA 50 looks like a proper SMG, but is classed as a rifle. In short, I don't get it either.
Piss, just noticed it's got no port, bolt, charging handle, or anything else that makes guns go bang. Erm.... They're on the other side. It's left handed.

Well, apart from the ejection port, having the bolt and handle on the left doesn't mean it has to be a lefty, some guns do like the MP5, G3 etc...

Stery AUG just needs about 20 mins and the right spanners to be a lefty. EJ port is still wrong unless its like an FN2000 and ejects forward.
or like Berk and DJ said, caseless rounds dont need ejection ports
Yeah, that's a slightly less hairdryery imagining of the pictures in the books. I'd like it to look like a big automatic, but it just doesn't. Still, the thing can fire full auto so realistically there's no reason to expect it to look like a normal handgun. I still think it's ugly, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Some guns are.
Yeah. There's a picture with description on p252 of the main rule book, and a very similar gun appears twice more in other places and other books. Alas, all evidence points towards the 603 being a very strange fish. I always pictured the 204 as a beefier, stubbier version of an MP5, but that would appear to be just a bigger version of a 603.
