The interviewer was trying to ask if the servers would be hosted on infinity ward's servers or as a listen server on his own PC but he didn't have a clue what that meant so started talking about how IW.net streamlines PC gaming.

That's the reason I haven't cancelled my pre-order yet, this guy may just be extremely misinformed, at least that's what I'm hoping.

I managed to pre-order mine before the price shot up so I'm going to wait and see before cancelling. Hopefully we'll get a statement from IW/Activision tommorow when they go back to work.

To me, it seems that he confirmed the news, though he was trying hard not to.

Anyway, it's still a great way to alienate PC users, and judging by the fact that they announced late July/early August that there won't be special editions for PC, I wouldn't be surprised if IW would actually be becoming the consolefags Rockstar and Epic are now.

22k. Maybe they'll see it maybe they won't. I suspect all they see is $$$ signs and no dedicated servers means no hacked ones where people can cheat or use a non-legit version.

I suspect places like 4chan are spam-botting that petition the same way they spammed the forums to hell.

And even if it's all legit votes IW / Activision aren't going to go and change anything at this point.
