Kovalainen and Kubica FTL, I didn't notice the submit button until 1am Saturday, either.
They don't seem to have any points up there yet, but it doesn't matter until the Chinese Grand Prix, anyway:
Points scored in the practice race will be reset on the 17th April 2009 at 17:00 (UK time) to start scoring points for the season from qualifying day of the Chinese Grand Prix (Grand Prix 3).

Well that came as a surprise, so during the race I did a few swift switches.

I too hadn't submitted my team until last night, so I'm very glad about the points being reset! However, if the points do come through for me this week, they should be good.

Well, guess I was wrong. The first race was good despite the finish with safety cars. Lots of thrills, spills and good use of that kers thingy. I may actually manage to stay awake/not wander off for a whole gp next time round.

I kept thinking it was called CURVES. Didn't help having English, Scottish and Irish presenters to explain it to you with different pronounciations each time.

Seriously, what the fuck?
I'm starting to rate F1 as slightly less believable than professional wrestling.

Yeah, we've been discussing it on another forum.
We've come to the conclusion (with added info from ITV), that Hamilton has been penalised for saying one thing initially, then said the opposite under direction from McLaren HQ during the stewards meeting.
We reckon he should have just dropped a place though to 4th and tha Trulli should have had the 3rd place.
Still reeks of Ferrari throwing their toys out of the pram to put McLaren on equal footing to them, be interesting to see if Brawn and Toyota don't get slapped in the face during the appeal in a couple of weeks.

Ferrari have demanded they they be declared winners and awarded a million points.

F1 has always involved lots of sulking and pouting by Ferrari and whatever the other leading team was at the time (McLaren or Williams in my memory). It's pathetic really.

Bingo.
Seems that they used Hamilton's testament of "I didn't slow down to let Trulli pass" to penalise Trulli, and it's transpired Hamilton was actually told on the radio to let him pass.

BALLS. I just realized I chose Australian GP as my bonus track, so basically I don't have one.

Especially in Schumacher times, one particular moment I remember is when he storms out of his pit, goes to McLaren and starts shouting with Hakkinen after they crashed.

Hakkinen was a twat too though.

But he gave ace interviews
Like the one before this season where the guy asked a really long question about the regs and changes and he thought about for about 30 seconds and simply said: Yes

Well the first couple of races have been interesting, and now scoring starts. The Brawn/Button combo seems to be winning out, but will it last? If I remember correctly it's not unusual for the big teams to have a few teething problems at the start of the season then storm off into the lead after a few races. Either way, I think I'll be making a few team changes before the next race.

Remember with Brawn, they've got the most advanced chassis currently on the grid, even if all the other teams have catch up to do, and even if those surpass Brawns, they only need to run at the very front for about half the season, then just need to stick in the higher parts of the field later on in order to do really well.

I didn't know that. It's unusual for a new team to do so well, even if it is being run by Ross Brawn. I'm reluctant to write off Ferrari and McLaren from the first two races, but I admit I don't know Brawn GP's history.

Brawn are the remenant of the Honda team, Honda wrote off last season and were developing a new car really early on during the season before management decided to pull the plug.
Next year will be the hard one for Brawn as Honda did most of the leg work for them over last season, whereas they'll be on their own from now on.
