It all comes down to what you like. You don't like it, okay, that won't change my opinion really.

What is it exactly you like? I'm not going to have another rant, but I feel every aspect of the genre is surpassed by others. Both specific areas and as a mix of ideas.
I suppose the mix of a few specific styles does make it different, but the mixing of genres is hardly innovative, and is done (imo) better by other music types.
I know I'll not change your opinion and I'm not trying to, I'm just intrigued as to what makes you like linkin park and I guess by extension nu-metal.

I don't like Numetal in general but Linkin Park is somewhat different. I never look for a kind of music in particular, it's that if it has a tune that somehow grabs my attention, I get that song. Then I see if the band has similar songs, and they do. There's one song in the "old" Linkin Park albums that leans towards rap a bit too much, Nobody's Listening, and half of their new album makes me think of Britney Spears as a musical god, but other than that, I think it's pretty enjoyable.

Pete, please take your rage out on teh invisible Orks, as that's what they're not there for.
Your rant was the wrong side of a personal attack on a forum member, and you know that's nawty.
Sorry stuff's shit for you, vent your spleen here if it helps, but not at people. I know it's over now, just wanted to, you know, say.

I like Linkin Park. Granted, I haven't bought their latest album, I don't like them that much.
I also like MCR, and I'll still withhold my ground that The Black Parade is quite a good album, but I judge it on muscial terms and couldn't give a flying fuck about the images and "movements" (including bowel) that are tagged onto it.

It makes a rather whimsical sound on contact.
General cockup #23, wonder how many more I'll make over the next day or two before my mind comes back together.

Or like in family guy where peter forgets how to sit in a chair. Can you make sure you get it on camera if something drastic breaks in your head.
