From my point of view:

1. Warped in and dog pants was closest and since i had blasters he was my first target.
2. Got him into armour then Hehulk pops just over there *points*.
3. Then everyone else turns on dog pants and he pops.
4. Bomber is next closest so i target him and start shooting away, friz targets me and i manage to tank him until bomber starts nossing me.
5. I blow up bomber and a couple of seconds later friz's missiles hit me again and pop.

Still, was fun, i'd do it again :)

my point of view it all happened in the space of 2 brain cycles, which broke dow a bit like this;

1. We're all in warp
2. things start exploding, I press buttons repeatedly and at random
3. suddenly there's only me, Lee and Friz left. Lee is closest
4. I die
5. Lee dies

by the cunning application of memory-bullet-time :ninja: I recall that I made at least one fatal error when there were only the three of us left. I had targetted both Lee and Friz and had guns/web/nos on Lee but was naving towards Friz, which was taking me out of range. By the time I corrected I was in structure and it was all over. Oh, and I forgot my drone

It was a whole bunch of very confusing fun. I'd be up for that again, or a variation thereof;

1. noob ships
2. 1v1

/edit; my set-up was...

2x Light ion blaster (Thorium charges)
rocket launcher (firefox with phalanx in the hold; plan had been to swap to explosive once the opponent was in armour ... like there was time :P)
named NOS

named AB (I've been playing with this instead of MWD and I'm sold on it so far)
X5 webber
cap booster

200mm plate
aux power core
armour repper

This maxes out grid, but has leaves CPU spare (15, I recall)

These are basically my normal ratting pants except I normally have a recharger instead of a cap booster and a 2nd rocket launcher because NOS seems not to work against Sanshas, and is anyway not really necessary ratting in Hoth. Comments on this set-up are of course welcome.

Wow, sounds like I missed out on some really good 5punking! Thanks to all that posted how it went, made for really enjoyable reading, and gave me setup ideas for my ship! I hope I can join in the next one!

Indeed, t'was quite alot of good fun :D

such things do serve a useful purpose in that you don't panic quite so much when you start getting shot at by the enemy

So very, very true. Better to lose a >1milISK frig to someone who won't pod you while you get your combat nerve than an expensive Assault Frig or Battlecruiser.

This, oh so this... The first PvP combat I was ever in was when we took the POS up to B-X... In a 150mill Raven. :?
Jeebus...you played for nearly a year with no PvP? Where did I go wrong?

Don't think I've ever done any. Just got destroyed+podded by vastly superior ships (ie: Battleship vs Shuttle). Not keen to repeat the experience.

For the record, that's not PVP. that's ganking/griefing.

*Casts Thread Revival*

So, time for a new friggy tournament :boogie: 1v1s this time chaps. Rules are as follows:

Unless otherwise agreed with your opponent:

No T2 Mods
No T2 Ammo

T2 Ships, Factional Ships and Factional Items are completly banned. The Exception to this is factional ammo. Gisti shield boosters would make a frig neigh invulnerable.

Please put down in here if you wish to attend.

I'd be tempted to go even further and so T1 unnamed stuff only, then you really are on a level playing field. Also, how do we get the Fw4ppers involved? Can stealing again?

And being 1 on 1, we can have an umpire at the warp in point 8)

edit: Umpire in a blackbird to repair us all between rounds?
You were cooking for the Miss, as I recall. And yes, repper ships ftw!
