Aww, Berk was kind enough to make a seperate thread to argue that Eve is cool, somebody had to post something to justify it!

Sadly, I don't feel qualified to post anything in that other thread. Eve is all I've played for most of the last year, and nothing new would run on my now dead laptop, so it's the newest that I've played, aside from console stuff w/ the kids!

Well... I'm not one to always jump to Berks defence, if he's being a cupcake I'll tell him, but in this case, he made this thread so those that only play eve could all vote for eve, and those that play eve and other games, or shock horror, only other games could vote for all the other games in the other thread. Because if all the eve players that only play eve and don't contribute to the rest of 5punky daily life crawled out the eve forum to vote on the games, and put eve in every category it was eligible for it would win because this is a democracy, but it would also be fucking stupid.

It wouldn't win. I already talked to DP about this. we intend to just disregard nominations for games that don't fit, such as ones released in 2003.

Unless, As in the case of some wii games, it's close enough to let them through as this is the first year - next year we'll probably run it from December to December

Anyway, the reason behind the Wii/Zelda thing is because it's very unlikely anybody actually managed to play it last year and with the drought of decent MMONGs or RPGs it at least gave some people something to vote for. The reason Eve isn't a valid entry in this thing is because it wasn't one of this year's releases.

Yes, it's gotten on my tits a whole lot too (feel free to post O Rly? kitties). Without wanting to sound overly sensitive, it's actually making me want to partake less in the wider 5punk community and just stick to the Eve forum, since apparently I don't play the games that the 5punk democracy has chosen to be flavour of the month. Right now in fact, lacking reliable internets I've been hammering Oblivion a bit, does that make me any less 5punky because it's not 'current'?
