Best FPS.
TEEF
Best RTS.
Soup
Best MMO/RPG.
Honestly, if I can't vote eve, then I've no nominations here. I've demo'd other games (RF Online being the most recent), but they're all, well, shit. and I don't really do RPGs.
Best Single player.
Hmm, Soups campaigns have me replaying them again recently, but I don't tend to do single player much. So Soup
Best Multi Player.
TEEF.
Most 5punky Game.
TEEF.
5punk Game of the Year.
I could say Portal, because it turned you all into raving loons for several weeks, TEEF did the same, and COD has managed it as well. Stakler and Bioshock seems to get a good early responce as well, but that floundered later on, and SOUP is a steady, but quiet, staple.
THink 'm gona have to go with COD though, even though I don't play it.

I can see this being a problem, as there haven't been any decent MMONGs released this year to speak of. Bumming Crusade is probably the most popular, but few of us play it.

But then it's just a WoW expansion, and denying eve expansions but allowing WoW ones is a big, well, iffy narf

Not in the least, because Bumming Crusade was released as a commercial expansion, whereas Trinity was an upgrade. Using your argument you could claim that Shivering Isles isn't valid.
If you feel you can justify Trinity being a genuine expansion then go ahead and I'll listen to your argument.

To be fair, as far as I'm aware they're both similar except one was free and one was commercial. Trinity wasn't just a graphics upgrade, it included new content, ships, features etc etc. I do realise I just backed Hulky up and as such I'm now going to wash my mouth out with soap.

Right as far as this stuff goes. I'm gonna stand by my original post.
These awards are for games released this year (or near as)
Expansions, updates, upgrades and patches are not new games, they're addons. not within the scope of these awards.
Standalone games on older engines are fine (as it's a new game)

I can see your point. I've only heard of the graphics upgrade of Trinity and not the new content, but Eve has been adding new content consistently and for free. It seems unfair that Eve should be punished for not charging for their new stuff, but the line is a bit grey between patch, upgrade and expansion.
EDIT: Berk probably has the best solution up there ^. Which would also make Bumming Crusade invalid and thus make Hehulk right.
*Hangs onto Universe so it doesn't asplode*

Hmm... okay, QUESTION!
Where does the Orange Box stand? Because basically, EP2 is an expansion BUT TEEF and Portal use the source engine but are brand new games..

approach the orange box as separate games - HL2 and Ep1 are old games, not valid.
ep2, TEEF and portal are new games. valid.
ep2 is not an expansion, an expansion requires another game to work.
if you need more clarification, search for your game in wikipedia, if its
release date is listed as 2007 - it's valid.
Pretty much the eve players are confusing things because the game they play was released in 2003, but they refuse to believe that should stop them voting for it.

Best FPS.
For actual shooty-shooty bangs, probably CoD 4.
Best RTS.
A good RTS released this year? Gosh..
I guess C&C3: Tiberium Wars will win that, however short lived the enthusiasm was.
Best MMO/RPG.
I believe Titan Quest had a good following this year for RPG beards, however, my final vote goes for SLA Industries!
Best Single player.
It's a flip between CoD 4's epic singleplayer and the might of Portal.
I'm going to have to stick with Portal though.
Best Multi Player.
TEEF!
Most 5punky Game.
TEEF again.
Mnngrecting a drrspncrrrr!
5punk Game of the Year.
SPORE!.. No, shit.. Wait.
Portal. Imaginitive, thought provoking, and a good tie-in.
The slowly emerging storyline was genius. The 'boss battle' was simple, but very effective. Glados was a superb character, and the credits theme tune was worth listening to.

SLA was released in about 1994, or thereabouts. Mind you, you might be able to consider Skype5punkySLA new.

Damn EVE-ers! They're always creating a ruckus!
It's a good job you didn't vote for Titan Quest as it was released June 26, 2006.
However, that kinda raises a point, over the year 5punk does play older games a helluva lot. Perhaps it's worth having a category for most played 5punky game not released in between December 2006-7?
(Personally, I wouldn't allow EVE to be voted for here as it's a MMONG and I wouldn't consider it very 5punky. Plus it would win and I wouldn't like that.)

Hmm, I really don't know what to Vote here... I can't think of any MMOs that 5punk played that were released this year...
Best Single player.
Portal, so 5punky, funny and fantastic. Plus, it was a triumph...
Best Multi Player.
TEEF
Most 5punky Game.
Hmm.. a toss up between TEEF and Portal here... but for me, I enjoyed Portal so much I completed it 4+ times (Infact, I lost count but I can remember 4 times at least) and at the moment I'm somewhat bored with TEEF. Also Portal has 5punky-based-lulz in it so
PORTAL wins it for me
5punk Game of the Year.
I'd like to vote for the entire Orange Box.. but I'll go with
Portal again.

Best FPS.
COD4 hands down. The singleplayer plays like an interactive thriller/action movie. As for the multipass, well it's just awesome.
Best RTS.
Played none this year apart from
Soup and that bored me after ten minutes.
Best MMO/RPG.
Think I'll get slated for choosing a console tard only game but her goes.
Mass Effect on the 360. Made by the KOTOR team and it fucking rocks. I pray for you non-tards that it comes to PC so you can play it.
Best Single player.
Halo 3 by miles!! The only game to even get close to it was COD4. Massive, pretty and a brilliant conclusion to the series so far.
Best Multi Player.
FFS,
COD4 again from me. Played the console tard version and thought meh. Then I played the PC version with you cunts and I realised how much I missed your abuse, swearing, KV's pre-pubescent squeeks and Pnut's virtual charecter being teabagged
Most 5punky Game.
Joint Ops by miles. Many an hour was spent hurling abuse at Gunlinger-esque bots with their super flukey shots. Who can forget myself and Berk making
super omg faaabulous smoke and putting it on Youtube. Was a shame we got so good at it

Backflips were fun though
5punk Game of the Year.
COD4 for a final time. Seems to be the new CSS and Beef with well over 10 people joining games most nights.

Best FPS.
<s>TEEF</s> Actually, no, COD4 (single player)
Best RTS.
C&C 3 Tiberium Wars (Soup's single player campaign sucked too much, this was back to the good old C&C we all remember before EA fucked up Generals)
Best MMO/RPG.
EVE (It still is the best one, despite when it was launched, IMHO OFC)
Best Single player.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (I never know if I should put a . at the end or not?)
Best Multi Player.
TEEF
Most 5punky Game.
TEEF
5punk Game of the Year.
TEEF

Best RTS

Best MMO/RPG
zelda:TW
Best Single player.
even though i haven't finished it, i'll go with bioshock, the 40's design and good story really did it for me. otherwise portal. surprise of the year.
Best Multi Player.
has to be CoD
Most 5punky Game.
portal
5punk Game of the Year.
