I got it but I can't play it.
I have an ATI card and I get the black spaces with no textures. And of course my video card is not supported anymore by amd/ati so the hotfix wont work.
I should have read up more on it, I just checked the specs and saw that I was above the minimum.
Now here's a question, I'm thinking about picking up a XFX PVT71AYDF3 GeForce 7950GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card to replace my FireGL X-2 since it's about the best of the last agp cards out there, and my new job does not require me to do any solid modeling.
I don't really feel like purchasing a new system just yet, but I'm thinking a more "gaming" oriented video card and another gig or two of mem should make a nice little difference in my gaming. Think I should go for it?

What I'd do is add another gig of ram (there's not much need for more than 2gb) and probably an agp x1950pro - They're as fast as a 7950GT, and can be had for under $150, compared to ~$240 for that xfx card.
The X1950 is a good card, granted, I'm using a top of the line XT version, but the pro will be good enough, and clocks up easily.
Do it.

Yeah, my x-fire is up to date yet. My PSU will handle this, I'm just worried about staying with ATI. Nvidea seems to be the leaders and are making all the new technology.
Also, would it be worth spending the extra $50 to get the 512MB vs the 256MB version? Or would my pc just make use of it?
Thanks again for all the help.

Yes, the new nvidia cards are way ahead of the new ATI cards.
However, your machine has an AGP slot, so you're pretty much limited to last generation cards (that is 7950s and x1950s)
So you might as well put the best card available in which, AFAIK, is an x1950pro. though, both the 7950 and x1950 are really good cards, i'd just take the x1950 for the money saving
as far as I know, there's little difference performance wise between 256/512 cards, it's likely (but not certain, so check) the 256 card will have faster memory than the 512.
Berk verdict: x1950pro 256 +
