It is possible to make them all the same I believe. There's 6 because it depends on which side you break the crystal from, 6 possible sides, 6 different types. So if you use a RedPower deployer to place the crystal, then a block breaker to re-break the crystal all from the same side they'll all be stackable. But probably not worth the effort, just thought I'd share.

If you shift+r click to auto move them to/from a container they stack and convert to whichever type the stack is.

They do, but you cant do that with pipes and barrels. :(
Its a minor issue compared to those im facing with Mystcraft though.

"Oh, this is an interesting looking world! Oh shit, im blind. And the world is exploding. Also im on fire. Shit! Where did the floor go?"

If it wasn't for super mod powers I would have been stuck in an endless death loop last night after I discovered a world made entirely of exploding water and lightening.

I visited your new base earlier and briefly thought "Oh Mystcraft books, I should see where they go." Then I realised I'd need a way to get back. I'm glad I didn't try because If I lost my lovely armour, etc. I'd be quite sad. I also thought your library is coming along nicely, good work.

Yeah, most of the worlds on the stands have linking books on the other end, so theoretically you shouldn't get stuck in any of them. Note that word though: theoretically. I take no responsibility if you get there and the linking book explodes.

Again.

Your pipe blew out again. I think you may have a power flow problem and your piping is convoluted. I'd suggest making sure you have all your power generating things in sequence/serial on the pipe line, then run it to the quarry and refinery. I think currently your pipes are sending power back to engines from other engines, so it builds up in the pipe and blows. The power seems to flow like liquid, not electricity.

To deal with power build-up I've just made redstone energy conduit. It required 4 Thermal Expansion machines to make them, quite a bit of power and some expensive resources. :faint:

But Thermal Expansion is a good mod in the pack. The machines have options for inputting and outputting from whatever face you like, very clever but a bit of a complex interface at first.

Bizarrely, the power only seems to back up when I'm not online, just been on for an hour and no build ups. Unfortunately after all the messing about I had trying to get my quarry running, it has now hit bed rock and found not a single fucking diamond :shakefist:

Edit. Is there an easy way of filling in a quarry?

Anybody else having problems getting on to the sever? Every time I try, it just goes to a blank page with a 'done' button at the bottom of the page.

Never mind, I'm a spazz :spang:

Works okay for me. Maybe it's because the recommended version for Direwolf20 pack has been updated. Make sure you've got "Recommended" in the version control.

Also there's a new Yogcraft mod pack. I don't know anything about that yet.

Also also Minecraft 1.5 is out, but that doesn't really matter for mod pack users.

Does anybody got any emeralds? I've just built a lovely shiny modular suit but to do anything with it I need to build a tinkering table which requires an emerald. I've never EVER seen one and hear they're rarer than diamonds and only found in extreme mountain biomes. Have we found a mountain biome yet? Also, I believe they can be got from villagers but despite finding two villages I've not seen a single villager yet. Any thoughts?

We don't have villagers turned on, so you will never find any. I've also never found any emeralds either im afraid.

I'm pretty sure I have some and no need for them really. I'll have a look this evening and hand one over I find any.

Assuming I do have any they would have come from one of those hollow hills in the Twilight Forest. If you have flying ability and some reasonable armour you can quite easily get some goodies from there. There's all sorts of ores on the roof of the hallow and chests if you dare to approach the floor.

The Catch 22 is a soon as I have a tinkering table I'll be able to incorporate any number of mega fun abilities into my suit, but until then I'm on foot wearing iron armour so hoping to find some naturally. If you have one spare though that'd be grrreat!
