That should only be a negative comment from main-quest-whores like Chickenz. There are enough to explore and do apart from that.
That's entirely my point though. I was enjoying wandering around the Wasteland just pissing about, and I only decided to do the final bit just to get it out of the way. If I'd known that
Spoiler:
it causes the entire game to end I wouldn't have bothered

As for the main character
Spoiler:
having to die, well that's just plain silly. What's the point of having an open ended world if the main character is going to die just because he finished a quest? I know it's daft but it has made me really irate that they chose to end the game like that - it seems to fly in the face of everything they set out to achieve (and it isn't particularly easy for me to restart from an early save as my quicksaves were overwritten by starting a new 'bad' character.

Yays! I just met
Spoiler:
Harold from Fallout 2 :)
Also I found another vault and have discovered how to
Spoiler:
kill Mirelurks really easily (although I need a more portable version)

The
Spoiler:
dart gun makes killing any melee attacking enemy a breeze. just shoot it once and then kill it at your convenience. Hell, most weaker enemies will die from the poison before reaching you.

Spoiler:
Yeah, the dart gun made killing the yum gum bears fucking trivial.

Spoiler:
I have all the things I need to make a dart gun, I just need to find me a workbench. Also I want to find a mobile version of what I mentioned before as it is insta-kill for Mirelurks :)

I have the Friend of the Animals perk so they end up killing people on my behalf. Speaking of which I've still not found anyone to come and join my quest of murder, vampirism, cannibalism, and flower picking

Except that you didn't mention it. Well didn't say what it was. A rubbish spoiler :P

I can't find the bits for anything, and only have the recipe for some sort of
Spoiler:
flamer
thing that needs
Spoiler:
motorcycle
parts, plenty of
Spoiler:
workbenches
, though. And
Spoiler:
a dog
that followed me around until I accidentally
Spoiler:
shot it in the face.

I suppose I was spoilering the spoiler!
The weapon in question
Spoiler:
would be some kind of white noise generator as there were a crapload of Mirelurks in one of the vaults, I turned on the speakers with that going through them and there was a loud splat as they all fell face first on the floor

I was a bit confused by the SCIENCE! of that particular device, but at least it got rid of them.

FJ, you have the schematics for the Shishkabob, which is one of the best melee weapons in the game. It does more damage than the Super Sledge, uses less AP in VATS and it sets people on fire. Totally awesome.

I have all the parts for the Shishkabob, bar the lawnmower blade :x

I've been hoarding parts in my love nest ready for when I can be arsed building stuff. I think I've got enough stuff to build almost anything out there.

Can't you get lawnmower blades from Minefield outside the house at the end of the street?

lawnmower blades are pretty much everywhere, make sure you check out actual lawnmowers as well, since they always have a blade in them.

Infrasound - a sound wave of frequency lower than 20 Hz. At a certain frequency, the cells in the body of a living creature may being to resonate causing their internal organs to simply fall off. For humans, a few minutes' exposure to a high amount of sound wave of around 6-7 Hz frequency can cause death. (Obviously if you generate a sound wave of this frequency in a MIDI, listened to through a headphone or a desktop speaker the most you get is a headache after an hour)

Not that fucking annoying 'sonic weapon' that's been on BBC News 24 all day then (mosquito). Personally I find that human rights spokeswoman who pops up everywhere's voice to be much more offensive though.

She might have an annoying voice but it's definitely not going to murder you horribly.

WTB: Headphones or desktop speakers that will reproduce 6hz.

I got a little confused there, MIDI does have notes for around 8 Hz, I thought this shit on my head could play it.

It might not be within hearing range, but I'll bet you can feel it.

Same reason CDs sound shit compared to vinyl.
