Your authentication (in the Tekkit launcher) should be to minecraft.net - try the vanilla client, there may be wider issues - I've had timeouts on a number of sites this evening.

Already done that. I can connect fine using my vanilla launcher, but Tekkit won't even give me the option to connect, only to play in offline mode.

That's odd, cause I get "communication error" when I try looking for the sever in Vanilla.

It was Ty.
Seriously.
OK, it wasn't. But the chunk he was in was fubar, rolled back the server to Mar 15 05:31. Now works, even with Ty on the server. I've asked him to attempt a repeat of whatever it was he was doing yesterday, that way I know if there is something that we should avoid doing or if the chunk corrupted "naturally". My money is on chunk corrupted itself.

It wouldn't surprise me, he's raping the landscape with his desert quarries. And the frame rate in his base was about 24fps for me, usually around 70fps. Not that anyone should be denied building all these wonderful machines. Its got me addicted to Minecraft all over again. Even just focusing on IndustrialCraft I've spent several days messing about.

I found the issue - Connecting a Woodent Buildcraft Pipe to an Energy Condenser (this causes map corruption and will crash the server)

Oh, we've rolled back again. :(

I had a quick go of the Yogbox, looks great for single-player adventuring. As opposed to the Technic/Tekkit focus on constructing machines, etc.

Good news everyone! I've built the nuclear reactor. I will be turning it on by filling it with uranium tonight. There will be stalls available for those who would like to watch, about 30 feet away.

Oh, bad news though, I couldn't fit an emergency stop button.

EDIT: This is the setup, worked out using a lovely tool from the IC forums.

Anery, is it hard to change the map for an evening? Maybe it could be worth giving something like this a go one night - http://wiki.industrial-craft.net/index. ... :Main_Page

I have carefully placed a nuke somewhere secret, it could be connected to a pressure plate, switch or a button. So please, enjoy, and remember wherever you stand, whatever button you push or switch you flick, you may go BOOM!

The whole nuke thing *might* be my fault... what with me letting on to Ty that it was possible to make them and all
