I haven't done anything since last night, and although I like the idea of the radioactive crater being a monument to Anery's ambition I'd hate to see him have to rebuild it all.

The backup is made at 2am, so anything after that would be lost.

Should be okay then. Maybe I can stop my quarry for it blows up as well. Notice you don't hear me crying for a rollback, although that nuke hole is pretty nasty looking. :)

Yeah, yeah, and who didn't see that nuke incident coming a mile away - well, me aparently. Turns out I got a depleted isotop and a uranium cell the wrong way around...

But how did you blow up your quarry?

It was probably the magmatic engine I was using to power it that blew and took everything else out with it. Those lava engines have been blowing out my gold conductive pipes, so I thought I'd just connect it directly to the quarry. What could go wrong? :)

I think I need to use Redstone Energy Conduit instead, but it's a pain to build that stuff.

Righto, I'll roll it back now then.

EDIT: there we go, reactor is no longer a smoking hole.

I don't want to be doing that too often though, so I think from now on everyone gets one "I screwed up big time and need a restore" go. On the one hand, flinging restores around willy nilly makes you less careful. On the other hand, everything you have made going bang in a reactor meltdown is super bad. So you have one chance each. Sound fair?

Sounds fair to me and I understand I have used my nuke card. Thankyou very much! :w00t:

Things look good for me, I got all the same loot from the dungeon I was quarrying (you may call that cheating). The quarry was already blown, but that doesn't really matter. Also gives me a chance redo some of the stuff early differently or just the same as it was fun. Bees!

/edit
Yeah, one restore per person seems fair, assuming no serious problem for anyone else.

Erm, I might have broken the server. I was cleaning up some lava in my quarry and everything crashed. Sorry :(

It's all right now. I had a similar problem over the weekend, came back after a few mins.

The Ultimate Pack has been released through the FTB launcher now. I suppose it's kind of the official one, as opposed to Direwolf's unofficial. Not that there's too much difference and no real reason to change. There's a few extra mods and it may get more updates.

I've been dabbling with the FTB/Direwolf pack on single player, there's lot of useless shit in there like the xycraft mod and others.

Xycraft does have some actual uses now, but it's not updated in the DW pack yet. The devices that I know about look very cool. There's a fabricator block which does fancy crafting and one that makes plants grow fast, I think.

I suppose the problem is that if you're not actively using a specific mod it can simply be clutter, especially if there's world gen stuff like those fucking Xycraft cystals.

Crafting the crystals into blocks takes up a lot less space. And if you still don't want them I have a good place for them.

I meant the thin, blue-green ones, that show as crystal shapes in the world gen. They don't even have many uses in the updated Xycraft.

I should really use my fancy combined blocks for decoration.

I have a felcher set up for those that extracts them from my quarry feed and dumps them in a box. I'm quite tempted to just pump them into the nearest volcano, but I'm sure as soon as I do that something will be updated and they will become suddenly useful.

Annoying thing about the felcher: there's six distinct type of crystal. They are all equally useless and look identical, but have different ids so pipes treat them as different things.

Rather than try and get every type of crystal, gradually felcher everything else out so you don't need to get one of each

With my item sorting method its a lot easier to felcher out the crystals first. Theres only 6, and you are pretty much definitely going to get one of each from a single reasonable sized quarry.

As an aside, can people keep an eye on server lagginess? Ive started messing about with Mystcraft (which is fun but by god is it dangerous) and discovered that Dynmap is trying to map every single world I make. Seeing as its pretty likely I'll be well into double figures in the not too distant future this could cause...problems. It might not, as I think Dynmap ignores worlds if no one is in them, but you never know.
