We have now found desert too, in case anyone needs huge amounts of sand. I've stuck a nether portal up and will be tunnelling it to the other portals. It's waaaaay out to the east, you can see it on the map now.

Also the desert has fire flowers that drop blaze powder, which can be converted into blaze rods, both of which are ingredients in various recipes. And saves fighting blazes in the nether, which is dangerous.

I have a huge and oppressive auto-farm up and running. It's like a plant spewing monolith and generates a metric shitload of wood. Unfortunately the complex workings of the biofuel/biogenerator feedback means it doesn't use enough power and if I leave it running the fermenter doesn't run often enough and the stone conductive pipe explodes due to too much electricity accumulating there, which apparently they're not supposed to be able to do. So I need to build more.

Where as I have built a nice simple automatic cactus farm with no exploding parts. Needed because I am building a 700m pipeline

Where's the fun if there's nothing in it that can explode? It is a lovely cactus farm though.

Well nothing explodes as long as I can keep the creepers out

I found the Twilight Lich this morning, and tried to kill him. Hahaha.

I now have a lot more death locations marked in the Twilight Forest.

I sure as shit needed a laugh this week as I'm sure we all did. Enter The Yogscast and episode 12 of their playthrough of the Voltz Minecraft mod pack.

I lost portal gun number two today, courtesy of the silly mistake of digging down and falling into lava. :(

Boo nay: The array of stirling engines powering my quarry exploded overnight, taking out even the offline steam engines I was planning to connect later.

Woo yay: I have a magma engine and pump assembly running instead now.

Fortunately it's not included in FTB pack, apparently Voltz is a new pack in the Technic launcher.

So, are we just using the FTB pack? I've got a itch for some blocky building again so need to know what I mods I need to join the server. I assume we're not running tekkit and lots of others like last time?

Just FTB. There are about 8 mods in it though.

Feed The Beast is similar to Tekkit, contains mostly technical mods. Just download the launcher from here: http://feed-the-beast.com/
Select the Direwolf20 Pack and join as before.

Yeah, FTB is similar to tekkit, but it has some new and interesting things in it. The biggest difference is that it uses EE3, so we wont all be swimming in infinite red matter after half an hour. The difficulty increase definitely encourages exploring the other mods more.

Anery made his nuke go off bang, and his bunker didn't quite bunk in the way its supposed to. This resulted in a small hole where some of Anerys base was.

I'm OK with doing a roll back to last nights backups as long as everyone else is. It will mean that anything done this morning gets vanished, but I haven't done much this morning. As long as everyone else is in the same boat I will reset it tonight.

What time last night? I don't want to lose the nice stuff I got from my Twilight Forest quarry.
