Where's the fun in that?

Another thought: Can pistons push people (without killing them)?

I've not tried anything with them yet, but I'm getting silly ideas

I understood none of that. Good work! I managed to build a scoreboard for the spleef arena but more through luck than understanding.

I am still trying to get the old world working on the server but it doesn't seem as straightforward as I had hoped. Interface is through a web portal called clanforge and it isn't quite as easy to navigate as when you have it running on your old system. Anyone got any experience with it?

I had to use it with our last real server based world. I agree it's not brilliant. As far as I can recall you have to prepare the "world" folder only, zip it up, send it via the web panel and it's extracted at the other end. All the other files outside of the world, configs, etc. are controlled using the web panel and should not be included on what you send.

I see you've got a new world running anyway.

1.9 Pre-release has hit by the way. Has NPC's which don't do much apparently.

(Snowmen in part 3)

I've not played since last year. As fun as a lot of these additions are I'm still hankering for some actual purpose and progression.

So, apparently 1.9 contains:
- Creepy looking rather useless NPC villagers.
- Swamp biomes (weren't these in 1.8 though?)
- Fire slimes
- Fire... ducks? I guess. They spawn in the nether and shoot fire.
- Nether brick, nether brick fence, nether wart (plant that grows on soul sand)
- Nether mob spawners
- Snow biomes
- Constructable snowmen that defend you
- Mushroom biomes
- 'Mooshrooms', which are cows with a nasty fungal infection

I think the viney trees were, but now the grass and the water change along with it.

I'm really looking forward to exploring a Nether Fortress! I think I'll wait until it's released though- people are reporting awful frame rates with the new threadded struff.

Whoever I built on top of (at the top of the hill opposite Johnson) I'm only going to use that as an entrance hall now so I won't dig down

I've not watched those videos yet but Minecraft appears to be going rather mental. In a good way.

Honestly, I think a couple of those things are stuff Jeb and Notch have thrown in for their own personal lols.

I can't see Mooshrooms being a serious addition, nor snowmen as they are.

Should they be?
