The Vanguard will be up for a game at the weekend to help finish off the first leg (and probably themselves) ready for the league changes.

Darkhole Penetrators Vs Virile Vanguard

The match started with the the ball deep in the Penetrators' half, with the forward members of the Vanguard swiftly following it. In an unusual turn of tactics, the Penetrators' coach ordered their Minotaur to pull back from the scrum line and get to the ball, knocking over one of the approaching Elves. Unfortunately this wasn't enough, and lone elf bouncing through the gaps to nab the ball and score the first touchdown of the game in the opening turns.

The kickoff saw the elves again charging into the Penetrators' half to chase the ball down, unfortunately for them with the Chaos team hot on their heels. The Penetrators managed to beat the Vanguard to the ball, and maintained control by knocking over any Elves daring enough to get close, one of the Vanguard's Linemen losing his life in the process due to a rather vicious assault by a Chaos Beastman.

Half time came and went with three of the Elven team sleeping in the dugout with a further two out of the game for good, leaving the Penetrators on the stronger footing for the second half. Kickoff was interrupted by a thrown rock nearly killing a Beastman, the quick actions of the Darkhole Penetrators' apothecary saving it's life.

Upon receiving the ball the Vanguard decided to throw it back deep into their own half to hopefully horse the Penetrators to breakup their wall of players, this turned out to be a grave error, with the Penetrators pushing forward as a whole, trapping the outnumbered Vanguard in their own half. A bit of fighting later saw the Penetrators knock down the entire Elven team and walk the ball down over the touchline, evening the score to 1 all.

The final rounds of the second half saw a play being performed by the Vanguard when they recieved the ball, but the final whistle putting it to bed before the Elves could run the ball home through the gap in the Penetrators' defensive line.

Result: 1-1 Draw

League updated. The point each doesn't change the positions or the goal difference, but there's still some room for manoeuvre before the end of the half-season.

Im happy to play my last game, but it will possibly have to wait till tuesday or wedensday, unless i get shit from the front of house staff tommorow from the job im leaving on tuesday and walk out, in which case ill be free anytime till thursday when i start the new job.

Is it going to be easier just to write this season off and leave it as it stands ready for a new one? That way I can recreate the league for the Keys Bowl season 2, maybe managing to get the game to do all the league stuff if we can get the players together before it starts.

Do we need to shut down the first league in order to start the new one? We could just leave it, and if it gets finished great, if it doesnt then no matter.

Or does it use the same "slot" or something?

Only if we want to use the same name. I could create a new league, but OCD sufferers may get twitchy about a future with dozens of unfinished 5punky leagues under different names.

I know I havent totally decided what team im entering, so wouldnt mind a few more days.

I've not decided either. I made a Khemri team last night (Anupshi Rises, geddit?), but as a pretty easy fighting team to play I might drop it for something harder to gimp myself a bit. Possibly Chaos.
