Yay for long posts read in a single breath. I remember that quest - theres a few that get "interesting" in terms of trying not to die for the mages guild.

Uh, yes. That's because it's beyond most thieves to take peoples clothes off without them noticing. I got past my crashes, and am trying to relight the dragon fires, I just hope I can continue with side-quests after finishing the main one. I'd love to work my way up the mages guild, but it might be too late for me to start something new.

On that note, being an expert marksman and master sneak does rule majorly. It's like infinite invisibility.

Edit/ Well that was... not bad. It seems to be over, but I have a feeling something may happen in time.

Hrosey!, this happened when on my horse I rode up to the door to enter it, selected the door which dismounted me (but didn't enter the door), I looked up at the horse and it was like this!

And this is a ghost thingy which upon my death blow I ran away out the door to escape and when I re-entered found it frozen mid-death, scared the crap out of me!

Woo!

I've just been given a nice fast black horse with DEMON RED EYES!

Also - patch is going to be released on public beta fairly soon.

Have been internetless for three weeks. Time consumed by Oblivion.

I'm now level 30, head of Mages Guild, Arena Grand Champion, Grey Fox, Listener of the Dark Brotherhood. I also have a unicorn (still not actually bought a horse yet). I've bought a house in Anvil, and in real life too.

I've just started doing the Oblivion gates. Unfortunately because of my level they are really fucking hard. Oh well, I just cast my 'Ghostwalk' spell, become invisible and walk to the end.

Rock.

Having closed the Kvatch Gate and taken thingy to that safe place, I then forgot about it and went on a quest to become leader of every Guild around. I briefly went back to carry on the Kvatch mission but found a shit-load of tough-as fuck monsters to try and beat so I'm going to leave it for a while. The higher levels really don't do you any favours in the main quest, so I'm going to wait until I'm truly l33t rather than just lvl22.

Dark Brotherhood is my current Guild of choice, then thieves or fighters.
Suggestions for which?

Edge review gave Oblivion (xbox 360 version tested) 8/10, which I think is fair now all the excitement has died down. The bugs and framerate do somewhat detract from what is otherwise an impressive game.

edit:

That's why I shouldn't answer IMs half way through writing a post and also read what I've written.

Hahaha

8/10 is probably what I'd give it too to be honest. Its good, but the fact that I have to play it with the grass turned off to get (just) over 20fps outside does annoy me. I have a feeling I'll play it through until I get a bit bored of it and not come back to it till I've upgraded my gfx a fair bit. But for now its still good.

That's about what I'd have given it anyway, but if bugs and framerate are all that's against it, it can only get better with age.
