Why can I only get a maximum of 1280 x 960, and not 1280 x 1024?
It's really pissing me off, and it just doesn't look right.
Might download the beta nvidia drivers again, as I stupidly clicked yes and updated my nvidia drivers with the ones included in the demo.
Has anyone else found this?

it's just a limitation in the game (hopefully only the demo)
the ones that came with the demo will be the best option, btw

I have to keep it on 800 x 600 too, my card isn't the problem, it's just everything else is starting to scrape bottom

I'm running in 1280x1024 :D I found out by posting on planetbattlefield, you need to edit the target of your bf2 shortcut to this:
"C:\Program Files\Battlefield 2 Demo\BF2.exe" +szx 1280 +szy 1024 +menu 1 +fullscreen 1
Unfortunately you wont be able to launch via xfire if you want it in 1280x1024, and btw if thats not where you have bf2 installed change it.

But doesn't Xfire pick up on what you're playing, even if you use the game to launch it?

yay! I just figured out how to make it work via xfire, go to your xfire directory and open xfire_games.ini, press control + F and search for Battlefield 2 Demo and change the launch line to this:
Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% +szx 1280 +szy 1024 +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 %UA_LAUNCHER_NETWORK_ARGS%
save and restart xfire.
