With the help of the Member Tracking tool, I've been monitoring corp activity levels since we left ISS and it's been steadily dropping. Partly it's due to the inevitable new games cropping up, long term players losing interest, RL taking precedence or work getting in the way.
If you doubt, take a run through the member list in People & Places and see for yourself - of the 11 or so who log on regularly and long enough to make a difference, 7 are not involved in core activities in any way (meaning they could be in any corp in Eve and we'd not notice the difference to 5punkorp). Our average turn out on nightly PvP ops is 3, with a rare maximum of 5. 5punkorp activity in the Nouveau Riche alt corp is negligible.
The directors and I have worked very hard to make the game accessible and fun for everyone but the almost zero take up on things such as the bs programme, industrial goals and recruiting effort are clearly indicative of the general malaise that has beset the corp in recent months. Sadly our greatest strength is also our greatest weakness: that we are inherently and inextricably linked to 5punk.
This is not a whine or a rant, just an observation and a warning that the corp is failing. I spotted it back in March and have been trying to hold it together with various initiatives, but it seems I've failed...so for that I can only apologize. I have no intention of leaving or making wild changes at this stage but come the time when I am the only one still playing, I'll quietly put it to bed and move on.
