First game
Inspired by Renegatus' earlier topic, what was the first game you bought? Mine was, I think, Thunderblade on the Speccy back in 1988.
Come on guys, get nostalgic.

I think the ZX81 games were technically "my Dad's", obviously we would rent games from the video shop and attempt to copy them using all manner of contraptions my Dad constructed, but the first time I went and actually bought one myself from a shop would have been when I bought Tales of the Arabian Nights for the C64 (slightly shopped cover, there).
It cost £9.99 and it was absolutely fucking shit. Mainly bought £1.99/99p games after that, but paid big for such notables as Hunchback, Daley Thompson's Decathlon and Staff of Karnath.
The first game I ever played was on the TI59 Programmable Calculator - it was a numbers game where you put braking time based on velocity and tried to get a car to stop before it hit the wall. The car was a '-' and '*' was a crash - I can't find it so my Dad may have written if himself.
Later, we had one of these: Binatone Pong Mk 4 with paddles and a light gun, which caused endless fights between me and my sister. My Dad's always been Gadget Man.
Edit: Crash can't have been '*' 'cos it only had a seven-segment display.

1st game system I ever had was a Master System, and it's also the same time I bought my first game which was Astro Warrier & Pit-Pot.
Astro Warrier is still one of THE best games I have ever played, but this may be down to it being my first ever game, and I played it till my eyes would bleed.
I remember being the first kid in my school to have a Master System, and I felt like the luckiest kid alive at the time

Astro Warrior was this one :spoodie wrote:Astro Warrior was one of the 1st games on the master system wasn't it, on a card rather than cartridge? You could transform from robot to spaceship and back again if I remember right.
Not as good as the snail game
However that game rings a bell and I can;t find out what it's called, and it's driving me mad
Hmm, I dont remember Astro Warrior. The one I was thinking of was Transbot.
